All of a sudden images have a yellow/amber tone not b/w. Anybody know why? When I open image in photoshop it opens correctly in b/w, but not in view finder.

Yes, the ferry dock moved a little north so no more shots of the ferry and light house together.
Thanks for the nice compliment.

Thanks, they've been coming around more it seems, but a cloud filter would be worth its weight in gold. The northwest is hard on Astro photographers to say the least.

Yes, shot using the 24-70mm f2.8 lens without hair tie, lens cap on. got a big flare. Put the hair tie on and problem solved. I'm a happy camper.

The problem was with the 24-70mm f2.8 lens. With the input from everyone here, the issue was solved with hair ties. It would be interesting to hear from Ricoh on the issue.
Thanks again for everyone's help.

This morning I cut some electrical tape down to 1/4" wide and wrapped around the lens where it connects to camera body. And it stopped the flare altogether. I used a very strong led light before and after, tape there does the trick. So much for weather seals, might help keeping water out but not light.

I wish someone at Pentax would jump in on this problem. Also would like to try another DFA 24-70 lens on my camera but Pentax users are few and far between in the Seattle area.

my image at 1//10 204800 hasn't popped up yet but it's still there. I think it's haunted, must have captured some lost soul.

OK, 1/10, iso 208800, even cap taped. still light getting through. I've never had a problem with this lens until I tried doing a long exposure. Has anyone else had a problem like this with this lens model? You might not know you have a problem unless you try a long exposure. weather seal is perfect.

All images shot with K1, same settings, covered eyepiece, 1st one with lens cap on, 2nd 15 stop filter on, 3rd covered up part of lens as seen in attached photo. Also shot one in darkroom .and no flare

---------- Post added 06-06-2022 at 04:00 PM ----------

Have tired 15-20mm lens, 50mm lens and no problem. the lens fits tight and is not loose in moving lens from 24mm to 70mm. However with no flare when shot in darkroom it must be in the lens somewhere. lens is haunted.

image 3664, f22, iso 100,480 sec,15 stop filter, 70mm on k1
image 3661, f8, iso 100, 60sec, 24mm, lens cap on lens
image 3662, no lens on body and body cap on.
What could be the problem? Lens has never been dropped.
Lens works fine except for long exposure.
