I have both the Lensbaby Velvet 56 and SMC Pentax 85mm F2.2 Soft. The Pentax doesn't have macro capability and the out of focus blur on the Velvet 56 is much smoother.

Some people have an urgent need of daily press releases from Ricoh, affirming that Pentax isn't doomed.
I've read similar speculations here on the forum for the past decade, but Pentax is still alive.
Groundless speculations doesn't help anyone, especially not potential Pentax customers.
Until there is solid proof either way, take a deep breathe and take your Pentax camera for a stroll (if you still have one).

If almost all of them are K1 and p645 users, and currently don't own a KP, K3II, K3 or earlier versions of Pentax APSC. They are probably not target customers for the new K3III.

I sell supply chain software and talk to supply chain managers on a daily basis. Last week I had a Teams-meeting with a potential customer. He jokingly asked me: «Can you also provide shipping containers?»
Due to the pandemic their is a backlog at every single stage in the supply chain, across most sectors. It isn’t just cameras and electronics.
Relax and enjoy the camera you have right now. The Pentax K3 III will be released as soon as Ricoh is able to release it.

That also happened to me. If you drop the K-1 with the screen articulated - something will be damaged. I will probably get the K-new when it becomes available and use it primarily for wildlife and birding.

There aren't any shred of evidence to suggest that Pentax is in a casket. I simply can't understand why some people are so negative. Recently, somebody claimed that the K-new is delayed. It can't be delayed, because it hasn't been announced. What comes first, the horse or the carriage?
There are potential Pentax customers searching the internet for relevant information. What do you think they will do when they read such nonsense? Who is to blame if they buy something else based on what they have read here?
Think twice or trice before you post unsubstantiated claims.

I'm neither frustrated nor stuck.:D:D:D:D
I'm actually very very happy in Pentax land. I can't imagine using other cameras. The K1 is made for me, my hands and my needs. Any limitations in my photography can't be blamed on Pentax camera and lenses. It's on me. :):)
