Shots into the sun are tricky. Definitely an advantage of digital over film to be able to try a variety of settings. (which really makes me appreciate the film images that got it "right")

The long shutter speed creating the ghosting effect of the other people works well here.

Not my genre of music but I heard a rendition of ABBA's SOS today, so just had to comment. This would have made a great floating stage.

Well to be clear, these are dandelions in an Ontario hayfield. We will also have plenty of canola later this summer where I live. (better than the wild mustard I used to have to help weed out of the hayfields that looks suspiciously like canola...)

DNG is the native Adobe format so no conversion necessary. I can save import my DNG files directly into Lightroom and edit in Photoshop directly from my camera. That was one of the things that convinced me to go to Pentax for my first DSLR back in 2007. So my Topaz plugin in PS works well.

Nice job with the red-winged black birds. They are so dark that sometimes the eyes are very hard to see.

Thanks. They appear and disappear quite quickly so you can't count on going back another day when you have more time.

I can't draw to save my life so play with Topaz from time-to-time. I shoot RAW DNG which works fine but don't know about PEF files.

I'll see where it goes. Likewise for me after the first repair I played with the screw drive version for a bit but eventually sent it in for a second repair. I just took it for a walk outside and everything seemed fine so hopefully I'll be ok.

Thanks again everyone for your responses. The video on my K-5 was so inadequate I'd forgotten it even had an external mic. I'll probably pick up a modestly priced shotgun mic, and also keep using my lavalier and Zoom recorder when it makes sense to do so. It's nice to have options.

Good suggestion. I've customized my "Raw" button for the same function so I can switch while also looking through the veiwfinder.

Looks solid yet comfy. For some reason, it seems odd to have a picture of a chair from behind. Your description was helpful.
