I've actually been reading the posts and browsing the marketplace here for a while. Decided to join today so I could respond to a lens for sale in the marketplace - I think LBA is kicking in... :D
Anyway, I'm a long time Pentax user. As a teenager, I took photos at my uncle's wedding using his K1000. I think it was his way of including me in the ceremony, I can't even remember how they came out. :)
My first Pentax was a PZ10, and I later added a ZX-5n film body as well.
My first digital camera was a Kodak DC290 (2.1mp - yeah). I can't believe that this cost more than a K20D does today!
When DSLRs started coming out, I couldn't wait for Pentax to release one. Unfortunately it took quite a while, and the *ist D was too expensive when it did come out. So my first DSLR was the *ist DS, and I just recently purchased a K20D.
I'm looking forward to learning enough to take advantage of this great new camera and think that these forums will be a big help with that.
So that's me, and I'm happy to be here.
