Varta 2300 works fine and make more than 400 shots but still don't know how many in total
Played to much with video and live view so don't know yet

I'v used the GP 2700 before in my km and works fine but with the kx it does not work so I bought for around €19 4 varta 2300 battery's with slow charger and works very good but have to put the settings on NiMH otherwise it gives empty after a few shots
I hope Pentax will fix it in the new firmware

How can I switch the iso to 100 or 12800 iso on my new kx

I bought the K-x after comparing the pictures of the K-7 and K-x
Now I have this camera I don't know how I can put the iso at 100 or 12800 I only see the option for 200-6400
Can somebody help me

I'm concider to buy a Pentax 10-17 fish eye but read somewere that you can make with the right filter a fish eye from Sigma 10-20
Is this true and does someone have experience with this filter because actually can't permit any more lenses this year to buy

I post allready a thread about this (new firmware for pentax k-m)and someone reply me and give me this site Customer Support - Official PENTAX Imaging Web Site but this was not working
I really try everything but I could not put this new firmware in my camera
So I called to pentax and give me this site Latest K-m Firmware Update : Software Downloads : PENTAX
And now its working because the file name was fwdc200b.bin and not fwdc202b.bin
that was the problem
Its a little strange because they really said this is for pentax k-m but in mine it was not working
Are there different kind off pentax k-m on the market?:eek:

I really did read the instruction but still can't get the firmware into my camera
I download stuffit expander and decompress the file than I paste it in my card
If I turn on my camera while hold the menu buton its still the same firmware and if I wait the camera just works his usually way
I think I'm gonna bring it to my dealer
I really don't understand why the firmware is not working but anyway thx for your reply's

I dubbel clicked the file and drag file FWDC202B.BIN in the sd card and before that I format the card first
I did eject the cardreader from the Mac before unplugging the USB and used a 4gb card so this must fit on my card
When I turn on my camera while pressures the menu button it shows still the old firmware
The only thing I'm not sure is when I click the file that it used stuffit expander to decrompress the file
Before I click it named FWDC202B.BIN macbinary and after FWDC202B.BIN.cpgz but I try both allready but did't work???

Well I did download the firmware on my sd card I follow the instructions but when I put my sd card in the camera again and turn on my camera while pressures the menu button its still on the old firmware
What did I do wrong?

I'm thinking to buy the new Sigma 10-20 f3,5 HSM but wonder if my camera recognised the HSM
I have the pentax k-m

Tomorrow I get mine and hope this lens will make sharper picture than my kit lens from my Pentax k-m just ask the shop for serial number and he said it's starting with 902
Can somebody tell me if this is a good serial number because seen on this forum that there are several problems

I think for start the Pentax kit lens 18-55 is the best option
It makes very nice pictures and it's a allround lens
Overhere in holland I've seen it for €30 that's around $50
So if you don't wanna pay much this is good lens for start

Hello everyone
I just bought me a pentax k-m and hope to shut nice pictures in the future
I'm brand new in photography
I did usually make pictures with my mobile phones but this is something else
Hope to get more information overhere about lenses and l how to make the best preferences for distance lights and such
I like to experience a lot
Hope to learn a lot from this pentax forum site
