Here's one of my first shots with the 85/1.9 - I'm going to like this lens! |

I haven't used my K200D much since I got into film and rangefinders, but recently got a great excuse to dig it out... I met an old colleague the other day, he had thought about me when going through his basement, since I "like old cameras". I went home with a bag containing a couple of SVs, extension tube, bellows and these beauties... A bit dusty from spending a lot of years in a bag, but I think they'll be fun :) |

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
SMC-DA 40/2.8 ltd Asking Price
280 EUR Item Location
Uppsala, Sweden Item Description
I don't shoot much digital, now I'm getting into film Leicas, so I'm selling this little gem. An amazing lens as you can see from the reviews here. Shipping is included for countries in the EU, I might sell worldwide if no one in Europe wants it.
I bought it last summer (2010) - barely used in mint condition. It's almost "like new", but I chose "excellent" because there is a small scratch on the front cover (the small one, not the hood) and you can see a couple of small (almost microscopic) dots where the paint has rubbed of on the barrel.
You can see the lens at temp 2 - a set on Flickr and some pictures I've taken with it at Flickr: pobe's stuff tagged with smcpentaxda40mmf28limited Are you the original owner of the item being sold?
No Are you selling or trading this item?

Amazing as usual! :) I don't know if you've mentioned it before (tried a search and didn't find anything), but how do you process your B&W? These are stunning!

From my K200D - it's not close to the newer sensors, but I still think that it can produce some great pictures at ISO 1600 :)

Yes, when it's not mounted on the camera. When it's mounted the camera keeps it open.
It's hard to explain, pschlute sure did a better job. :)

In Av it doesn't matter what the aperture is set to on the lens, the camera will always shoot wide open (at least my K200D does that). That's why you can't see any difference between wide open and f/8, because even though it was set to f/8 it was in fact wide open. I hope I haven't made you more confused... ;)
sterretje, congratulations on that M 50/1.7 - it's a lovely lens!

I'm not sure actually, it might have been stopped down a half or whole step, but I think it's wide open. I cropped it a little bit, so DOF might seem a bit larger than it should wide open. Anyway, nailing the focus like this wide open is not something I'm known to do often... :)
It's definitely worthy of more attention - I'll give it more love, I promise!

My 50/1.7 has been lying around a lot since I got the DA 40/2.8 ltd, but I took it out today together with my son. |

I've had my K200D set to black & white jpeg with orange filter and contrast +1 for a while. I usually shoot RAW and do conversions in Aperture, but I just felt that I spent too much time with the computer and too little time with the camera... |

Thanks!
I used 27g washing soda, 20g instant coffe and 8g ascorbic acid for 500ml water. Dissolved the soda first, then the coffee and last the ascorbic acid. I let it sit for a few minutes, while loading the rolls. I developed the Superia 400 for 20 minutes, agitating the first minute and then a few turns every three minutes. Rinsed with lots of water (I didn't use a stop bath) and then fixed with Kodak T-Max fixer (because it was the one my local photography store had).
I'm really just getting started, but it's great fun! If you have any questions, ask away - even though I'll probably not be able to answer...
