The first one, the background is distracting. I'd burn/dodge that instead of trying to replace on a new background.
The others are nice, but underexposed a bit. I'd play around with curves on all of them.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, but will the vivitar lens work on the new DSLR?

I'm so new to the DSLR, I'm not completely sure of purchasing old 35mm lenses.
I own a K100D. Someone has a 35mm Pentax K1000 SLR, with a few lenses. I know the DSLR will take older lenses, as long as you shoot manual, right? The deal seems too good to pass up if they work. he zoom lense is a Vivitar 8-200mm 1:4.5. It is stored in a hard case. I have a Pentax 2x converter lense and a Vivitar 1.5 converter lense. These attach to the camera and the other lenses attach to them, thus multiplying the magnification. I also have a close up lens kit.
There is also a Vivitar External 283 flash, but I think the voltage is too high to use, right?
Thanks for any help and feedback, I really appreciate it!

I received a K100D for Christmas and looking to learn a lot of helpful hints and techniques! My favorite subjects to photograph are kids/newborns. :D
