Thanks very much guys! We are getting ready to setup another day later this year to finish shots for the rest of the album! Turns out they weren't really sure what or how well they would turn out.

Thank you very much guys! I loved the concept when they first explained it too me, and luckily all the participants we had were pretty much perfect for their part. Im pretty partial to #2 myself, and that seems to be a general consensus.

So I was lucky enough to help out a friend in photographing many images that they are gonna be using for their next cd. and while we were there, we also did some promotional stuff with the band. Had a ton of fun and all around went pretty well, this was all done in one night totaling around 5hours of photographing, drinking, and bbqing. enjoy!

The album title will be We are all asleep, and the writing on their bodies, are either direct lyrics from the songs or have similar meaning.

So these are just a few of the shots that I have acquired so far during my summer internship at the Missouri Botanical Gardens, most of the shooting required is simply beauty shots of the grounds, with event and award ceremony coverage sprinkled throughout, I will make another thread to cover some of the more prominent events. anywho enjoy, and let me know what ya think!

well considering some of them went from asking if i believe pentax would survive much longer, to being thoroughly impressed with the k-5 specifically its WR capabilities. I'll consider that enough of an achievement.

While I can't say I have ever run across any other Pentax users, I recently acquired my K-5 and while waiting for color prints in my schools studio, me and a few other digital students (all canikon) were messing around, many of them played with my Pentax, and had a lot of positive remarks about the camera itself. So while I feel as though we may be outnumbered, there is enough for me to back up my decision and prove it to other photogs.

Do you just use regular alkaline battteries? or is there a specific replacement for the mercury batteries. also, if this isnt sold by this sunday consider it sold.... just waiting on my paycheck.

Congratulations on your new purchase, I havent personally dealt with the k-x but between handling my k20 and other digital brands, I have found pentax systems to be a bit easier to learn. But Im sure this place will provide a bunch of info on just about anything ya need.

photoshop simply replaces darkroom work. I still shoot film when I can get access to the darkroom at school I spend a lot of time there simply because I enjoy the process. at its basic raw editing in photoshop is no different. I still only shoot in M mode, and have only recently started letting my lenses go to autofocus when I felt as though it may help.
also as said before, no amount of photoshop experience can turn a hack into a master.
A simple thought is, dont let what others do effect how you feel about photography. to me its the most relaxing thing ever, and if I start letting what others do effect my work all the fun would disappear.

So the Dresden Dolls came to a local venue, and one of the nice parts was they allowed people to bring in any type of camera. So luckily we got there early and got pretty close to the stage. These are the results. all of these were taken with the pentax DFA 100mm 2.8 |

Bugsy603- Thank you! Im excited that my friends are allowing me to shoot for em.
Definitly will have two bodies on me.. actually for this first one I will have three. Since the bride likes to play with film and would like me to do a couple rolls of film for her to mess with.
Also hopefully wont be using my on camera flash. I will also be visiting the place a few times before the wedding to get everything down. The cue card Idea is really good. Relaxing is definately one of the key parts, but hopefully like most of the photo gigs of gotten so far, im all tense till it starts happening, and then I stay very calm.
Special K-thanks for link to the thread, I will definately be checking that out.
GMoney- That is so awesomely horrible.
Gdoan- those seem like some good lens combos, mostly covering a good spectrum of zoom lengths.
Thank you all very much for this information.
