Hi Pentax forum,
I recently took a trip to Wales with a friend, and we are planning to release the work in a newspaper zine. Below is a preview of the zine (we are planning on taking one more trip before we get it printed). ISSUU - Grey Days South Wales - Retina Photos
We are currently looking for funding to get the zine printed, if you liked the work and would like to support us trying to get the work printed, and receive a copy for yourself, please pledge your support for our Kickstarter.
Any support will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for viewing.

Dear Moderators,
Could I please have this account deleted. I'm soon to be building my own website for my work, and I'm currently in the process of removing all other references of myself from the internet to try to channel all visitors to my site. I was not a very active member, but I do remember posting my name in a few posts. I hope it's not too much effort for someone to do this.
Many thanks,
Cosmo.

I hate the description of the "3D effect", I think what people are really describing is the DOF helps make the subject pop out from the image.
Leica lenses are good because they are sharp at every aperture, and have very low distortion. Seeing as I shoot mostly B&W, and most of the great Leica uses of the past also shot in B&W, I've never really associated Leica with particularity pleasing colour palette. The best way to really see how good Leica glass is, run some film through it, shooting only wide open, then enlarge the prints to 16x20 inchs.

I hate to be nit picky, but they say it's the widest rectangular lens on the market, with a 35mm equivalent of 12.8-25.6mm, but Voigtlander has had a rectangular 12mm 5.6 lens available for several years.
Also, I am very impressed with it's distortion control.

I'm planning on getting a 35mm rangefinder system in the next few years. My style of photography would really benefit from using a rangefinder, and I only uses lenses between 20mm and 50mm, and I shoot in low light regularly wide open, so I want lenses that perform just as well wide open as they do stopped down. I thought about getting a Zeiss Ikon, but I then decided that I'd rather invest more into an M6 TTL, probably with a .58 viewfinder. Lens wise, I'll get the Leica 28mm 2.8 Elmarit, and probably a cheaper 50mm from Voigtlander, either the Voigtlander 50mm 1.1 Nokton, or the Voigtlander 40mm 1.4 Nokton, then I'll replace it with the Leica 50mm 1.4 Summilux sometime in the future. I'll also get the Zeiss 21mm 2.8 Distagon and upgrade the 28mm Elmarit to a Summicron.

It's true how amazing it is that 1.5x can bring up so many problems/questions.
And it also never ceases to amaze me how people on here massively over react to stuff and are generally over sensitive to everything.

Kit lenses are never the highest quality, slow, soft wide open, distortion, poor build quality.
If they were the highest quality, then they'd be competing against Leica and Zeiss.

You've basically asked why 2 lenses of equal focal length, on the same camera produce images with the equal field of view.

The subject of 2001 was brought up in a valid way, then you and fractal went off in another direction yacking on about the content of the film, then about the title of the film, neither of which were why the film was brought up in the first place. Now drop the subject of 2001, you're making a fool of yourself.
The first point, he said a mediocre image can benefit from a witty title, you seem to have jumped straight to a different conclusion.
There is a saying that a photo speaks a thousand words. Point 2 and 4 are basically the same. I believe an image can convey feelings that words cannot, or at least convey feeling better than words can.

99% horizontal, I've started finding vertical very awkward and often leaves photos unbalanced.
I also shoot quite a bit of 6x6, which is also very nice to shoot with. It also so much easier to shoot 6x6 than to crop a 35mm shot to square.

If you want to get a decent Zeiss lens for landscape, get the Zeiss 21mm f2.8 T* Distagon. Considered to be the very best super wideangle lens available, optically superior to everything.

I don't know why he's kicking up such a fuss over him using a wide lens, lots of journalists only use wide lenses.

It wasn't chemicals from different manufactures, it was developing film in chemicals for different types of film, ie, develop C-41 film in E6 and the other way around.

28mm on full frame. For digital, kit lens at the wide end, or 21mm would do.

Well if you're going to be using a lens for the rest of your life, it may as well be the absolute best.

All the Physics stuff seems so pointless. I also think that this seems to massively over complicating things, taking a photo should be simple and spontaneous.

I'm looking to save up for a Leica M4-P or an M6 over the next year, though I could be temped by a Zeis Ikon.
