Wow, what a great machine. The Lotus 7 and its progeny are on my short list of cars to own before I die (and hopefully not IN the lotus.)

What's the engine? Looks like a V6 based on the collectors, with some kinda Holley 4bbl on top. Must be a rocket!

I love seeing large format stuff make its way here :D

I had a Bender, but it felt kinda janky to me. I eventually got a Toko 4x5 folding field camera. How is yours in terms of rigidity and portability?

Two air rifles, two air pistols, a mess of pellets and a case for $150.

I have the 24mm F/1.8, and if the two are anything alike the 28mm will be dynamite. The 24mm has become my favorite lens for 35mm/APS-C photography.

Many P&S cameras like my Fuji S2000 were like this. I think it's not an ND filter, but a "waterhouse stop" built into the camera.

Beautiful Victorinox, and quite similar to the Swiss-made Burett I picked up yesterday.

It's a Quartz watch with 200m water resistance and a 1/10s chronograph. It's also my only watch with a chronograph *and* a dive bezel :)

Thank you! It's certainly unique and a quality piece. I bought it from eBay as a wreck and after clean up and a new leather strap, it looks sensational. There are some really beautiful watches in this thread. :)

What to wear? A collection of my watches laid out on a dress shirt while I decide. Bulova Marine Star, Invicta Automatic (Miyota Movement), Seiko Quartz from the flea market, Seiko Chronograph, and an Invicta Diablo II.

The Undocumented feature of mirror-lock up on the MX is present on other Pentax bodies, but it's not consistent between them, or even within the same camera, enough to be counted as a feature, undocumented or not. My MX can do it, but it varies.

THe MLU in the LX is the real deal. Completely controllable and predictable.

That is the important thing. As long as you aren't spending rent money on hobbies, or keeping things a secret from each other, there should never be a problem :)

The Pentaxes are beautiful, but those two Rolleis....Those alone are probably worth more than most of my gear

And when my better half tells me the same thing, I usually explain about different cameras for different situations, etc...or come here and show her some of your insane collections.

That's part of my regimen, as well. Straps never dangle. THey either support or they are bunched up where they can't snag.

Undoubtedly useful, and the tension-tripod effects do work, but carrying a camera on a short neckstrap has been clinically proven to drive me absolutely nut-butters.

I wear my cameras on long straps, and carry them cross-body so they can't fall. They annoy me and clank into things around my neck, and draping a camera strap over one shoulder is just ASKING to drop it.

Your mileage may vary, of course, but that's what works for me.

Superb! Auto 110s for the win!

Very nice. I love the LX.

The MX is no slouch, especially if you need to still be able to shoot without those darn batteries. I love my LX, but I wouldn't trade in my MX, either.

Owners of black cars know that black shows up everything.

I would hope if someone is trying to sell me a camera they'll at least knock the dust off.

Beautiful kit, and I admire the dedication to bringing it back. Can I ask, why did you let loose the LS lenses? Are you simply not interested in strobe work? Were the LS versions compromised?

I got a 75mm f/2.8 LS for the 645 when I owned that kit, and I have to admit the 645 LS lens was much less capable as far as close focus and ease of use than the standard A lens.

You are. Though not having to fiddle with it for several minutes when it comes out of the bag to take a photo so you and your group of non-photographers will also be appreciated.

I am a take-a-camera-everywhere photographer, and though I ask to take photos and sometimes even stop to take one, I'm always as quick as I can be and thank them for stopping.

You guys are making me jelly.

Love the FA limiteds, the MZ3 and the Solida.

I really have a yearning for the FA43, as a replacement for my M-series 40/2.8, the only fully manual Pentax lens I have left.

I am also really jonesing for a good MF folder.

As for the ZX/MZ series cameras, I have a ZX-L and a ZX-7, and like them both. The AA battery grip is essential to making them cheaper to operate.
