Doesn't it look kinda Ricoh-ish?

Re the hdr mode, I bet in a future interview with an exec we will se a quote like: "as an example of us listening to our customers, many have told us they love the hdr in the k5 they just wish they could get to it faster"

maybe I missed something, but my interpretation of the blogpost linked to from the op is there is going to be three different kits. Not a three lens kit. No?

Maybe you are misunderstanding me. To be clear I'm not talking about stopping motion.
If the second curtain covers part of the sensor it's still valuable to be able to flash the scene so that the other part of the frame (in wich you put your subject) gets flashexposed. Makes sense?
edit: If you have lots of wattseconds to fire away this wouldnt be much of an issue thoe

I think it would be nice to have it pop at every speed
1. You could put your subject in the flashexposed portion of the frame. Strobist calls this cheating the flashsync. Even as little as half a stop may be what makes the sky saturated to desired degree, and I think it would be possible in some situations to cheat to even shorter times.
2. Makes it possible to trigger a remote camera from a transmitter on the hotshoe.

Thanks for bringing this up. I have been wondering about this issue my self. Delivering a simple sync shortening at all shutterspeeds would be really helpfull for all who wants to experiment. It would also be good for triggering remote cameras.

Focuspoint in the center or all the points symetrically spread. With an even number of points you can only pick one

everybody does not use pentax own flashes. I am shure everybody with a flash with shorter duration would have liked the faster sync. I dont think pentax holds a feature back like that

But it does not make sense to spec the camera like that. Unless they want to fool people into thinking they need to buy the new flash. And if the new flash is several months away...

The even number of focuspoints and the x-sync depending on flash makes this sound fishy

if 70% of the light reaches the sensor that equals (ln 0,7)/(ln 2) = -0,515.
A loss of half an EV-step
