Crikey - I thought I had more than that!
The ME is probably my favourite body - highly underrated. It's tiny, beautifully proportioned, better built than the Super (metal top cover as opposed to plastic) and always gives me good results. I always shoot in AV anyway.
Very much into Takumar primes, although the A Zoom 3.5/35-105 is seriously good. I'm currently favouring my S-M-C Tak 3.5/28 - set it to f8 and 3mtrs then just point and shoot.
I took some woodland shots last week with this lens plus polariser using Kodak Porta 400NC to keep the shutter speeds up (my user name should really be Old Shaky - perhaps someone's already got it) and got great results ( posted a pic in the Tak club thread but don't know how to link it to here). It scanned very well on my Plustek (!)

Ovim's quite right - it's not rocket science, but I still managed to trash my first attempt , a 3.5/35mm. I used too much acetone, de-cemented the rear elements and took the coatings off (at least, that's what I think happened)! When I put it back together and tried it the shots came out fine, but I've since used it for parts.
Getting the trim ring out is the first step and for me is usually the hardest part - if the filter ring is damaged you could have real problems. It took me hours to get it out of the 3.5/28 using the M42 rear lens cap - a perfect fit for a 49mm filter size - and a rubber glove!
Best advice is try and old scrapper first, you've got nothing to lose

HI, I'm new to this so I hope it works!
S-M-C Takumar 3.5/28mm, Pentax ME, Polariser, Kodak Porta 400NC.
I stripped and cleaned out some fungus in this lens recently - it took little coating off one of the elements but it doesn't seem to affect the performance.

Hi, I'm Paul and I thought I'd post a courtesy 'Hello'. I've been visiting the forum for quite a while so decided to join.
I took up photography about 6 years ago, first with a digital compact, then a DSLR, and for the last 3 years using Pentax MF 35mm as well. My photos aren't really up to much but I love using the Pentax kit and then trying to get a decent result from my cheapo scanner.
Recently, I've been finding my way around dismantling and repairing one or two Takumar lenses - I'm no expert, but I've had a some success.
I doubt that I'll be a prolific poster, but I hope I can contribute something of interest now and then.
Thanks and regards to all.
PS I've never posted on any forum before, so I guess I've got a bit to learn!
