For 400 speed I like Ilford Delta 400 - it almost has the tones of Tri-X but with finer grain and far less curly negatives. For lower ISOs I like FP4+, really great tones and non-curly negatives.

The brand may be relatively popular there but that doesn't mean the streets are teeming with Pentaxians...
I remember, in 2017, seeing another K-3 with a silver 31mm on it (the only time I've ever seen a Limited in the wild) but not much else. I remember a good display in one of the big electronics shops.

I know you use and like APS-C and that you're enjoying your medium format gear, especially now with ability to adapt lots of lenses to it, but it seems to me that for someone who loves using vintage lenses designed for the 24x36 format a FF mirrorless camera would be the ideal one to use.
I've no doubt the image quality from the GFX cameras is great but for your purposes I can't get my head round why you use it instead of FF...

Somehow this got in. Taken with the M 50/1.7. I had a nice weekend away with some good scenery and sunshine and have posted far nicer photos than this to Flickr in the past few days....

An interesting comparison but I long ago decided just to use them and develop a feeling for each - whether I liked it or not from the feel and the results. I know from my experience that the 1.7 is hard to beat in terms of cost, size and image quality but the 1.4 can also be very good, even wide open.
Given sample variation and precision in focusing a valid comparison is very, very hard to do.

You can't have something for nothing - everything must be paid for one way or another. That's just the way it is and it's a cynical world that everywhere you look people are trying to sell you something. Whatever you work as, should your products or services be free? Of course not, and that goes for everybody. Everyone needs to come to terms with this but at the same time that doesn't mean you should spend indiscriminately. Everyone decides what is worth their money and how much and makes a decision on whether to spend or not, if you spend on one thing then you can't spend on another.
Money is there to be used. Everyone needs a reserve of one size or another and few of us would want to die leaving nothing for our children but if the things we want to do cost money then we don't get to do those things without spending. Is it worth the benefit or enjoyment? Do you need that money for something else more important?

I just received a nice Konica AR 50mm f/1.7 as I like the flare I get from the Konica 40/1.8. This is the first version (which I was holding out for), before cost-cutting extended the minimum focus distance and removed the half-stop clicks on the aperture ring. It's big for a 50/1.7 but that means it looks more handsome on my S5 :)
Konica AR seems to be the only rear lens cap that isn't in production and sold on E-bay, so I will need to see which other caps fit the AR mount.

28mm is a complex topic, not least because quite a few of the Pentax 28mms are mediocre performers, including the A 28/2.8. If you want a manual lens of that focal length the stars of the show are:
- K 28/3.5
- K 28/2
- M 28/2
You'd need to look into the pros and cons of each but essentially speed will cost you in $$$ and size/weight. If you don't need speed then the K 28/3.5 is very sharp with great rendering at a reasonable size, weight and cost.

How is that 27mm? I have read lots of reports of the original Fujinon 27/2.8 stopping working after a time so it's on my "avoid" list but this cheapie looks interesting.
Welcome to the fold!
Let us know how that Sigma performs - from what I've read it's probably the best all-round general-use zoom available for the system.
