Hi Everyone,
As I was taking my son to school this morning there was a thick blanket of fog which is common during the winter months in Idaho. As the sun was rising it was gorgeous but I didn't have my camera with me. :(
There will be many other opportunities this winter and was wondering what sort of settings would be most appropriate under these conditions.
The camera I use is a Pentax K2000.

Hi Everyone,
I am new to DSLR photography and am having fun learning more about it.

Take A look at Square Space. It makes it very easy to set up multiple blogs, html pages and more. There are no programs to download or programming to learn. Very neat service and the customer service when you do a question is exceptional!

We have a lot of heron here in Idaho and I haven't been able to capture any good "in flight" shots.

I am new to DSLR (Pentax K2000) and still learning but was really excited when I got this picture this morning of a Heron and a Red Winged Blackbird.

Received the camera today! I was so excited to try it I just put the batteries and memory card in, popped on the lens and went to the park to try it out. Being my first DSLR it took getting used to. I kept reaching for the zoom button :lol:
Look forward to using it this weekend. Thanks for all the feedback. It seems like it will work perfect for me.

Hi Everyone,
I am considering the K2000 to begin in SLR. Would this be a good first SLR Camera? Would there be a better alternative that is still affordable?

I have been browsing through the forums to learn more about the Pentax DSLR cameras. I have only used P&S cameras to date and have not yet entered into the DSLR arena but want to "take the leap".
