Quote: Slight signs of wear at the knurled mounting area. What exactly does that mean?

As I am still getting some inquiries I'll add a post to clarify the status of the sale.
I am waiting for a money order from a prospective buyer.
Once I am holding the money in my hands the lens will then be marked as sold.
Until that moment in time it is still being held, as a deal is in the works.
I'll know more in a couple days.
Thanks for looking. :)

Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f1.4 SLII Asking Price
$395 Item Location
Ontario Canada Item Description
For sale is my Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f1.4 SLII manual focus lens in Pentax KA mount.
It is in 'Like New' condition. The only mark visible to me is a slight rub mark on the lens cap.
The glass front, rear and inside is absolutely clear with no marks whatsoever.
This lens has not been dropped, or abused in any manner and functions perfectly.
Included items include: lens, front and rear lens caps, original packaging, original owners manual and original box.
I don't know if the rear lens cap is original but it is a proper fit.
I'm just not using as much as I anticipated. I'm shifting towards auto-focus lens as my eyes aren't getting any stronger with age. Note that as of August 2010 Voigtlander is no longer producing this lens in Pentax mount.

The Canadian dollar is at par with the US but the shipping is less from the US to the land of AUZ.
Good luck! :)

I reorganized the list a while back and if I missed your name I apologize.
I can add it to the names in the European list if you like, however, since the lens is AWOL it may be pointless. If the lens can't be located and the Flickr account is hopelessly locked this lofty and ambitious project could well be dead. :( |

If you think you are beeing ripped off for shipping check the Canada Post website for shipping quotes.
I just experimented with an 8" x 8" x 8" x 2lb package.
Australia - $80
California - $28 to $68
UK - $14 to $79
The camera bag you mentioned would be much larger in size and thus, more expensive to ship.
If you could just move Australia a bit closer to Canada everyone would be happy! :p
My humble suggestion for someone in your neck of the woods would be to find an Asian supplier.

Danilo Cecchi does not mention it in his his very thorough book, "Asahi Pentax and Pentax SLR 35mm Cameras 1952 - 1989".
Likewise for Carl Shipman and his book, "How to Use and Select Pentax SLR Cameras".
Without physical evidence I shall remain skeptical.

I bought a case for my Canonet from a Korean Ebay seller and it was top notch.
They also sell a case for the MX. LINK
They shipped quickly and the quality was good.

The linked image is slightly bigger than 8.5 X 11.
I printed it but the 'camera' is tiny; smaller than an Auto 110.
I'll have to figure out the proper size to make it 1:1 with a real MX.
Yeah, it does look too challenging for grade 1 kids.
There are web sites for making paper-type pinhole cameras that might be more suitable for wee kids.

Surfing with 'Stumble Upon' I ended up at this website. LINK
It is the pattern for a very realistic looking MX designed to printed and then cut-out using scissors.
The instructions are in an Oriental language, but it appears to be somewhat self explanatory.
I can only imagine that one could make a pinhole camera out of this, but I am not sure if that is what it is designed for originally.
Someone willing to give it a go? Looks like fun! :D

Nice!
This is one that may be enhanced with selective colouriztion.
If only the roses were left red and the rest of the image changed to duo tone or mono tone it might look interesting.
Just a thought. :)

Took a walk with the dogs at a local Conservation Area.
Spring is almost here!
The ducks are feeling frisky, the geese are swimming and making nests.
Then I spotted worm holes under the bark of a Poplar tree.
All taken with my new DFA 100mm Macro WR
Good for macro ... and beyond! :)

Too cute!
I remember taking a snap of my son at about 2 years old.
He had fallen asleep at the supper table with his face in a bowl of spaghetti!
Sadly, I can't seem to find it.
Save this - you'll want it 20 years from now! :)
