Well, step by step i am quitting Pentax and selling the last gear and the buying Canon tools. Today I tried 18-35mm Sigma with my old Canon and I was impressed with sharpness, contrast, premium build quality. Focus wise it is quite fast lens, although focusing is hit or miss sometimes (might be my fault because I had no time to test it properly). Otherwise it is a stunning lens and I cannot imagine buying 20-40 lens even if I stayed with Pentax... Sigma is a real winner here, and my hands are quite strong to hold few grams more. Speed has its cost.:)

This lens may totally change my mind about primes. I have probably to find more work to save some money for this beauty.

CS3 also has tween settings, so probably I have to play with settings until the desired result. Thanks for answer!

simbon4o , your gifs are very smooth. How did you achieve that? Is that related to many frames or do you play with settings? I tried to do with CS3, but mine gif is not that smooth (Set No delay)

Hell yes... 10 times better than kit lens, very sharp from f4 from corner to corner. Focus speed is not overly faster than kit, but still this was one of the best zoom lenses I had.

Hi all,
I am sorry if there were similar questions but I am in a hurry. I am totally new with time lapse
1. How long will last K-5 battery (fully charged) if use it just for interval shooting. How many images I can get with a single charge if I switch off SR, preview etc.?
2. What are the best settings for shooting car event? It will be an car opening season with car slalom in quite small track . What interval between shots I must set to get nice final result (net too fast and not too blocky)?

and 85mm on crop is something around 130mm. Actually it is quite convenient FL, with some distance held and also F/2.0 aperture. Also, jupiter can do some close up shots. Not a macro lens, but better than most 85mm
