when i first got my flash unit for the K10D it was working perfectly, i haven't used it for some time now and i decided to check up on it, surprisingly the flash will not go into P-TTL mode and is stuck on TTL mode the auto and manual modes seem fine but NO P-TTL i cant figure out why this sudden change is it something wrong with the camera settings or flash settings? or could it be that the flash unit is going crazy on me?
can anyone help me please to figure out the problem, note i don't have a pentax service center where i live.

indeed i did set the lowest ISO and used the smallest aperture but still the same result in close up shots using the macro lense, however it seems to work fine while taking shots of further objects using the same settings. its a shame i can't seem to have it work for macro use, thats the reason i got the ring flash in the first place.
i am using a K10Dand a DFA 100mm macro lense any ideas other than using a filter?

can any one help me in adjusting the brightness when using macro lense? i am using a 100mm macro but all close up images using the ring flash are bright white as if the flash is at its full power is there a way to fix this?

i am practically new to the DSLR cameras and recently acquired a K10D, i was wondering if there is a macro mode available on the camera with out using a macro lense? please help.
