Hello
That looks like someone tried to oil the lens or it got really hot and the factory applied lubricant liquefied then hardened on the lens inside. You should send it to me.:D

I took this shot a month or so ago at the cottage. It was absolutely pitch black outside, except for the lightning. I was using my K10, Hanimex Fisheye, on a tripod, holding the shutter open for 60 seconds I think, through a window. It is not the sharpest picture but you can see the lightning through the trees at the top.

Hello
Could someone please direct to some software that will “flatten” or adjust for barrel distortion? I am pretty sure I read somewhere on this forum (my searches haven’t found it yet) about some software, not DxO, that works with any lens to fix barrel distortion in a picture. It had something to do with printing off a test page, taking a picture of the test page and then the software will build a profile to fix photos for that specific lens.

You just had a real life experience of a very good point, don't put all of your eggs in one basket. I would of been sick if I had gone on a vacation like that and then lost all my photos.
I'm glad you were able to recover your shots:)
But, has anyone even tried one of these cards yet?

I can see both sides of this argument:)
The 8 gig card would mean you could shoot endlessly? almost, in a single day.... maybe.
But I also agree with mopar_Man,it would be a shame if you had a ton of great shots and the card died.
It would be nice to know if the SDHC 8gig card would work though.
