Well I am new here but I was very interested to see where everyone hailed from. So I guess it is my turn.. I am Located in Lower Alabama, I have been a paramedic for 10 years and can't seem to get away from the lifestyle. It is very hectic and time consuming. I have been married for 7 years to my wonderful husband who puts up with me and my Hobby...I have 2 children who are constantly on the go.. teenagers from a previous marriage.
I recieved my K100D for christmas and I am just learning what does what. I live in a small town and the closest camera store... shop is at least 2 hours away. To find a class on digital photography is extreamly hard so all I am getting is research on the internet. Realizing I am in no way even classified as a amateur. With my camera I am more like a infant trying to roll over.. as far as experience. So all help is appreciated for this Lil redneck in South Alabama.
Nice meeting all of you.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. When I figure out how to post I will start posting pictures, I work full time which is 24 hrs on and 24 hours off weird shifts but that is the life of a paramedic around here. Trying to cut back and take more pictures but, just started taking my camera with me to work trying to get the best of both worlds I will see how that works..
Thanks again for the welcome, this is the warmest welcome I have gotten in a photography forum.:D

 I am so excited to participate in this forum. I am really new to the Pentax family. I was given a Pentax K100D for christams and I love it, what I can work of it. I am in real need of training on my "new Baby" I upgraded from a Fuji s5000 and believe me it is a serious change in camera. Looking forward to this forum and all the help I know it will provide me.
