No rail splitting. Didn't occur to me at the time. Just many encounters with canoe gunwales and neck slung knock about. They were great.

I'm a long time (35+ years) Pentax user. Started with KX, LX others, K20d and just got a K-5. Also picked up a couple of 6x7s when they were getting dumped on ebay. A big interest for me is scanned 35mm (some 4x5) slides. I have many nice images from the NJ Pine Barrens that might fit the bill for the "Rivers and Lakes" contest. Just getting started with scanning though - NIkon Coolscan 5000 and Vuescan are the tools of choice there. I would love to find other film -> digital practitioners.
The KXs were great until I beat them to death.
