I'm comparing these sample images to the FA77 limited images, and I would have to say that there would be a hairline difference in overall quality of images of the two lenses. The 77 has a 'WOW' A+ factor, but the old M85 is pushing it up the rear.

This was taken yesterday when my family and I went down to beach, and discovered this seal resting on the rocky platform.He/she looked to be bittened on the right fin by something and neede a bit of recovery time out of the water. But it was nice enough to give me a few poses.:lol::lol:

It's great to see that you had the right camera gear with you Bob,unlike the people in front of you with there mobile phones & P&S's:D:D:D.Another question;could you feel the heat of the engines from where you were sitting or it isn't as close as it looks in your image for that??

Plenty of 4WDing on this beach, with plenty of tyre tracks. So I got down on the sand and took a few low point track images like the one above.

Not a bad first attempt. You captured the bee quite well and the colours of the flowers add to the image.Good effort, and it's great that your first DSLR is a Pentax.

I think the only thing you should do to the first image is basically cut the top half of the frame nearly in half just to centre the birds more in the frame.Other then that,it is a very good capture.

Dave,I like how you caught the sun on the edge of the mountain, and the area looks like another beautiful part of the world that you are lucky enough to visit. The second image, the saturation gives it more of a warm (it's going to be a hot day)feel.great work!!

I think the second image looks the best in my opinion. It stops the bird coming out of the side of the image and centres it more. But either way,you captured the fish in the birds mouth on the perfect angle and I would say you didn't have much time to freeze this,so well done Susan.
