Just a thought...
Olympus' E-M5ii is showing impressive results with its sensor shift technology on a relatively low-res sensor, and, if they can (potentially) achieve high-res results in-hand (vs. on a tripod) in a future firmware release that would be particularly exciting! Of course, I'd assume there would be caveats like limited shutter speeds.
Considering that Pentax already has the capability to simulate an anti-aliasing filter via micro-vibrations, I'd be incredibly excited if they utilized a lower-resolution full-frame sensor (say 12mp in the A7s) with the option to sensor-shift to achieve near 50MP photos. We'd get the best of many worlds:
- Light Sensitivity of the A7s
- High-resolution / detail when we need it
- AA filter when we need it

Captured during the 2009 Annual NYC Pillow Fight on Wall Street. Masses show up to pummel each other, smile and laugh for a couple hours.

Good news! Hopefully this'll encourage them to carry Pentax in their rental department again.

My K-7 arrived in the mail yesterday afternoon, and after a full-day of charging, my friend and I headed downtown to Highline Park, K-7 in hand, attached to my Sigma 17-70mm.
A few highlights from the excursion, more of the photos can be seen at A New Camera Album by Jeff Lagasca > Sosauce Photo: High Resolution Photo Sharing for Travel Geeks:
Excuse my rustiness, it's been a few months since I've actually shot with an SLR. The camera is a dream to work with compared to my old K100D Super, it feels a lot more substantial in my hands that the old body.
Still figuring out some of the settings, I feel like I'm going to have to read the manual in detail, for once!

Customer Service at B&H is hit or miss. The first time I went in to inquire about the K-7 the guy at the counter was incredibly knowledgeable about the brand, today I went in (they now have K-7s on the floor) and guy behind the counter knew little about the model.
I have to say B&H is like my Toys R' Us. Seeing their green bins push products along in their conveyor belts above your head and below the counters is definitely something you won't get at your local Best Buy.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!
The camera arrived today, I'm eagerly anticipating a full charge on the battery. The next few days are going to be a lot of fun!

I got a little paranoid with the range of Amazon Shipping dates and cancelled my order (I placed yesterday), then turned around and bought from Buydig!
I called to confirm stock availability with Buydig, and was given the greenlight to expect my K-7 on the shipping truck on the 7th!
Saved an extra $115 on Taxes and Shipping cost too!

Hi, my first post!
I'm in New York and dropped by B&H today (my office is a few blocks away) to inquire about the K-7. The gentleman I spoke to said they should have it in stock 2 weeks from now.
