Good evening all,
Im looking for information/experiences from Forum members who have used a k20D and iPad and EyeFi card for wireless tethering.
I really want to tether my camera to my iPad and this is the only way I know to do it.
Cheers

Thanks for the information guys.
I have decided to sell my Tamron 90mm F2.8 1:1 to obtain finances for the 30mm.
From all reports, it looks like a smart move for me :)
Thanks again

Hi all,
I am seriously considering buying this lens for my Portrait work, but have to admit, I have heard some mixed reports about focus issues.
I tried this lens out the other day, in store, on a Canon and have to say that I am might impressed with its results.
Does anyone here own this lens and can shed some light on any issues it may or may not have?
Thanks
John

Thanks for the replies people. I just took the lens out for some shots to see if it has any effect.
The lens is not under warranty an there is a little bit of glass floating around.
I think I will see what it is worth to fix. If the chip does not have an effect and the repairs are to much, I will have the floating bit of glass removed and just keep using it.
I dont know how this occurred, I have never pulled the lens apart etc.
I will let you know.

Hi all,
Yesterday I took my equipment out to clean ahead of an event I was attending and was horrified to find that the 2nd element (from the front of the lens) had a chip in it. How I managed to chip the 2nd element is beyond me.
Anyways, the lens is a Sigma 170-500mm. I thought I had this lens listed on my insurance but it appears this is not the case.
Has anyone had similar experiences with this and any ideas what it cost you?
Ta

Thanks people :)
I have about 50 from this shoot to edit up which is pretty good as I usually only edit about 10.
In regards to the questions about the tippy toes, it was left over from another pose, I thought it was different so we went with it :)
I might have to do a re-edit on image #2 as some of the feedback I have been getting is that it is flat. I think this was my editing and not the image. I will take another look at it.
Thanks again

On the weekend last gone, I had the opportunity to work with an absolute trooper model at the beach. It was just breaking 19 degrees and the wind was blowing a gale.
Despite that, this first time model managed to pull it all together and, IMHO, produce some great shots. As a first time model, Chelsea was a natural poser and were she needed the slightest bit of instruction, she followed it very well.
So without further a-do....
Comments welcomed.

Hi All,
In my current kit, I have a gap in my lenses. I go from 10-20 to 90mm and beyond. Soon (as in a day or two) my father is about to by a K7 with the Pentax DA 18-55mm AL II lens. He is also getting the DA 18-250.
My father does not want the 18-55 and has offered it to me for about $200 Aud.
Knowing that this is being sold as a kit lens (and the original 18-55 were crap), I am a little weary of the lens and though I would ask the folks here of what they think of it?
I would probably use this type of lens for portrait work (not soley though).
Cheers

Well done Morbo.
It is great to see someone with as much committment to a subject as you have.
I have to admit that I will miss these little guys. Your daily images really did provide me with a chance to step away from work and smile. If only for a moment.
Now.. I await your next project ;)
Cheers

Not a worry at all. I work on the pretext that if I dont like something, I have a say and then get over it.
I didnt want to be one of those people who piss winge in the forums and not actually say anything :)
Onwards and upwards.

And unfortunatly punishing those who are honest and dont fit in with the Pentaxian profile.
Personally I dont like seeing forums try and make money from the members who make a forum what it is. Alot of the knowledge and information that is provided on this forum (and forums like it) is free.
For those of us, like me, who dont spend there lives here, making the 1000 posts or 200+2yrs will take along time to happen and I am not about to make a forced donation for something I have used twice since being a member. I provide my knowledge to this community for free, I would have though that this would be far more valuable than trying to make $10.
Why not make it 50 or 100 posts and make it that your post count does not increase in the For Sale section. This way, people have to participate in other sections of the forums before they can post in the market place...

Eric,
I think you have done a wonderful job of both captures. The first one jumped out at me an instantly reminded me of Judy Garland in her younger tap dancing years (and that means alot because Im only 31). This image certainly has that nostalgic feel to it and for me, works in everyway.
For the second image, this is ver 'flash dance' for me. It is dramatic and states to me that this young woman has danced her heart out and has collapsed to take a break. The use of black and white has provided for an excellent dramatic feel and the tone in this image are almost (on my monitor) complete from black thru white. If I were to do anything with this image, I would remove the white line that leads from her right elbow.
Stunning work mate. Well done.
