Went to my first boat race on the Ohio River at New Martinsville, WV last weekend since updating to Ver 2.0 firmware and having my new D-FA 150-450mm lens. The K-3 III performed better than ever with the current firmware. The 150-450mm lens is great except it's too long for the frontstretch on the river courses. I fell back to my 60-250mm and 1.4x TC on my K-3 III and mounted the 150-450mm on my K-3 and then swapped cameras between front and backstretches. The K-3 does OK with the 150-450mm but it's no K-3 III in the focusing department. Next step for next season is to save for a slightly used K-3 III. I've killed my camera budget for this year!
Here are a few shots from the weekend. |

Same with me. Pick you shot and make it count. The last time I went to Yellowstone was in 2019. I doubt I took 200 photographs there.
I do feel sorry for those who have never experienced the magic of seeing a print come to life in a darkroom. Even if they prefer not to do the darkroom work themselves. B&W film photography is much more of an art form than color photography. With color photography you pretty much have to stick to a specific process. With B&W you get to vary all sorts of process parameters and materials.

I have all of those shots, except "why" I'll have to try harder.
