Although you can't see it a pleasure craft is being transfered from the lower canal to the upper.

Saw this one in Augusta Australia - I don't think you could get away with it in the UK.

Unfortunately this was taken on a cloudy overcast day from a very low position and limited access to the bloom. The background is actually an evergreen hedge some 6 feet high. The opportunities for controlled photography were virtually nil with macro setting and this was essentially a point and shoot occasion. I accept Pete's comments but I got what the camera saw, I was not even looking through the viewfinder.

Some people have all the luck. How come I didn't see any such animals during my visit to BC in 2000?

To Little laker - unfortunately your idea has little chance as the canal is too narrow for sail boats and is used for what we call narrow boats - max 3m wide and around 13m long. It would be a wonderful sight however.

This system of 16 locks forms part of a series of 29 over an elevation drop of 72m. Started in 1774 and finished in 1810 as a transport link across southern counties of the UK, it is now used mainly by pleasure craft.

Hi everyone. Yep, jiust can't get enough of it, although my daughter keeps referring to my new toy. I think there is an element of jealousy from her husband.

:D Hi from west London to all forum members.
Have just taken possession of a new K110D after many years using an old Pentax SFX 35mm SLR. Being able to utilise my existing 28-80mm and 70-210mm lenses was part of the decision making process. So far I have been very pleased with the results. This one taken at 210mm. No 2 was taken as a macro.

Thanks Alan
Will give it try, from what you say everything should be OK.
The following site lists trigger voltages for various flash units but I think some of the data could be questionable. Photo Strobe Trigger Voltages

Have just checked the trigger voltage of the 440AF and it is 5V. I assume that this low value is OK but confirmation would be most welcome.

Have just bought the K110D and am extremely pleased with its performance. Having previously used the Cobra 440AF flash for many years with an SFX 35mm SLR I would like to continue using this good flash unit. Can anyone confirm the compatibilty of on to the other? It would a waste not to use the flash if at all possible.
