I will be shooting a friends wedding next month. It will be out side in the evening and in a rural area. I was told that there will not be much lighting. I have a good flash and a good lens(see my profile), but I think I may need a light set up. Any suggestions? I don't want to spend too much, but I understand that it will also be an investment.
Thanks for the help.

I am currently trying to also figure that out. Everytime I tried I overexposed the photos. My buddy said to try and set your ISO to about 100 or so. I am going to try te beach tomorrow and I will let you know ho it goes.

Since you like shooting in low light, you should check out the Pentax SMC FA 43 f1.9. I just got it and it is amazing, especially in low light. You can find one used for about $400 usd. Well worth it.

Hey,
I'm really sorry I posted it out there. I didn't know how to do the private message or that there was one.

The auto mode is not bad on the promaster. I have not had many problems.
The auto focus in dim light was pretty good. It wasn't slow at all.
I'm still playing with it until I get all the features down.
My budget for lenses is about $500 for both. Can you get decent used ones for that price?

First off I must say that flash photography is not very easy.
I did not see the post about the settings until after I tried using the flash. I took some great photos and then I took some that sucked.
I need to get used to the different settings that the flash and camera offer. I had no connection problems. The only problem was that the hall where the wedding was was super dim. The best pictures came when I would bounce the flash off of the celing. After editing the photos and lightening them up a little, they looked great.
I will keep everyone posted as I continue to play with the flash.

Unfortunately this is the only lens that I curently have. I am saving up to buy a better one, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks for the help.
It would be great to get the extra wedding info, if it's not too much trouble.

I just bought the Promaster 7500EDF flash for my Pentax K20D. If I use the flash on PTTL/Auto, what settings should I have my camera on for a wedding? Indoor and outside, evening and day. Thanks.

I just purchased a Sigma EF-500 Super TTL flash for my Pentax K20d. I am going to shoot a wedding this weekend. What settings would be good to use inside and outside in the evening?
Thank you.

I recently purchased the Pentax K20D. I am going to shoot a wedding indoors in a few months and I need a flash. What would be a good flash to buy? I don't want to get a piece of crap. Thanks.
