Sorry. Where is it located? Thanks for the non answer. If I knew OF it I guess I could have looked it up. My bad ---------- Post added 08-16-2014 at 04:40 PM ----------
Thanks. Sounds easy enough, I'll find it. I was seriously thinking about getting a GR and the converter for a wide angle option. What ,is your opinion of it?

Nice pic. I live near Pittsburgh and never heard of this place. Where's it at?

Looks more like a viewfinder blind to me. Looks like an 'X' with the arrow. Hopefully it is because I think that is a much needed feature for tripod work, especially with live view. Fiddling with that cover and eyecup work around is no fun and I find myself just using my thumb.

I like to visit the local fairgrounds and the day before or after the fair has ended. Just looks weird with no people. All of these are K-5 IIs and 18-135 |

I agree. Nice view from Mount Washington, by the way. A working fountain always helps :D

I visted some boxcars to try out my new K-5 IIs. These were all shot with a FA 43 LTD
And since I don't have a cat for the required cat photo I went to visit the strays that hang out around the stables at the fairgrounds. This was with the DA50-200WR |

I don't know where the DA50-200WR stands in the spectrum between good and bad bokeh but here's a recent shot. It's my least used lens and sometimes I'm happy with the results.:) |

I agree. Pentax seems to be hands off now and I don't think that is acceptable if they want to maintain any kind of quality. They think an honor system will work with submissions and we all know that doesn't work.

My take is that it's totally electronic now. No one at Pentax is making the final call. Could be because of the holidays, but my submissions from the week have been on a regular every other one acceptance/decline pattern. Granted it could be the photos, but it's just suspiciously quick and "uniform".

Wow, two photos I submitted on 12/21 have already been accepted/declined as of 12/25. That was almost suspiciously fast, considering two of the days were a holiday weekend.

I just emailed them for status and they gave me the customer and work order numbers. Click on "check repair status" and enter the numbers and you'll see the status. No need to register (I could never get the site to work either).

Thanks. I added a little (OK, a lot of) warmth and grain. Although straight shot looks nice also.

I've been stuck on a work project from dark to dark so my subjects have been limited to job site junk.

I posted this photo in a lens discussion thread but I thought this is also a good place for it. An example of the DA18-135 bokeh. I've been trying the lens out and I must say I like the way the images look.

In case anyone is interested, here is an example of the bokeh. I like it and find it interesting but I realize that the bokeh thing is subjective. |
