Item Description
The camera is in good working condition. It was recently (12/2009) at Pentax Service where the Auto focus was calibrated, the Sensor cleaned and everything adjusted to manufacturers specifications.
The camera has just under 9000 actuations per Photo Me.
There are a few minor scratches on the rear LCD protector, which do not affect the viewing of images on the screen. There are also some scratches on the lens mount, which I assume is normal.
The camera will come with the box, software, cables, charger and three Pentax batteries (one of them unused), a Magic Lantern Guide to the K20D, a new (wireless) Remote Control F, a CS-205 Cable Release, a Genuine Pentax M42 to K-mount adapter and 11GB worth of SD memory cards.

Hi Miguel, I had the predecessor of the 494 and even locked down there was some flex in it. The RRS head doesn't have friction control and neither of the two heads you listed have a panning feature.
I'd suggest a Photoclam PC-33NS or the PC-36N if you don't need thelevel. They are a little bit heavier and a little more expensive, but I think you'll be happier in the long run. Check it out here:

Just noticed another tiny fungus spot. The two spots are about 1mm in diameter and on an inside element. If somebody wants the set for $580 shipped as is, no return let me know (TC alone sells for $250 new) otherwise I'll see if Sigma can clean it.
Here is a pic of one of the spots; they are on the very outside of the glass and pretty hard to spot and even harder to take a picture of.

most of my older stuff was taken with K10D or K20D with Sigma 70-200 or DA 300. The newer stuff (Nov 2009 til now) was taken with a Canon 7D and the 400 5.6.

I just bought the Trekker T-100 from Cabela's. It's less than 10 pounds and folds into a 24" disc. It's nothing fancy but it's relatively lightweight, portable and best of all affordable. The lens is in good working condition, sharp and a joy to use. It has two pinsize marks on the front element as well as a small scratch (near the outside of the front element). On the very corner of one of the inner elements is a speck of what might be fungus? Also there are some dust specks in the lens. If it is fungus, it could be killed with a UV light (not sure where this came from as this is not usually a problem in Colorado).
I added a shot taken at 200mm 2.8 of a birdfeeder and one taken at f19 of the sky.

It is raised, which leads me to believe that it is an imperfection in the glass or coating. I have never noticed any ill effects of it in my pictures. The DA 21's main draw is it's size, but it also has a little less distortion, shows a little less vignetting, is a little faster (3.2 vs. 3.5) wide open, the borders are a little sharper. Contrast is usually pretty good with all DA's, so you probably see little difference there. I really enjoyed my 21, but if you you aren't concerned about size, don't overlook the 16-45.

I recently changed systems due to the occasional need of long glass. I have a lens rental place within a mile of my house, but they do not carry Pentax.
This is an amazing piece of glass and I've gotten many nice captures with it. The glass is clean and the SDM works perfect. There is a small scratch and print on the foot of the tripod mount, otherwise it looks great. Please look at the attached pics. The lens will come with everything that was included when new.
