Hi TKH,

Honestly, I've had one really bad experience shipping a camera to Italy, where the package was rifled, the camera stolen, and the postal service's "investigation" never ended in a payment of the insurance money. In any case, the auction is under 24 hours so I can no longer open it to German bidders through eBay's interface. Sorry!

Not to hijack this thread, but I'm also selling a DA 21mm. Unfortunately it's already on eBay -- I should have thought to check here, especially since I got a FA28 here just a couple months ago, but c'est la vie. In any case the lens has 17 hours to go and is at $300 + shipping right now. Pentax DA Limited 21mm f/3.2 *MINT CONDITION* Lens - (item 180148175315 end time Aug-16-07 12:50:49 PDT) if you're interested.

Going to Greece... lens help?

So I am going to be living in Greece this summer and will have the opportunity to travel across Europe, so naturally I plan on doing some photography. My current lens kit consists of:
K100D
DA 18-55
DA 50-200
FA 50/1.4
old Sigma mini-wide 28/2.8
tripod, case, etc

I'd consider myself an advanced amateur. I like shooting, and do it frequently enough to dislike the quality of my 18-55. I'd like to buy something good for the wide-end (landscape, cityscape). I prefer primes, but will take a zoom that's very nearly as good.

Alas, I am on a student budget and so can only purchase one lens. I am currently looking at the DA 21 (delightful size and sharpness, but bothersome bokeh), the DA 16-45 (more versatile and better bokeh than 21, but huge). I am leaning towards the DA21 but the bokeh is bugging me. Can someone assure me that either the bokeh isn't that harsh on the 21 or the size isn't that bad on the 16-45?

Thanks!
