there was a time when the SLRs and photo gear was mostly bought by 'photographers'. Today photographers or the people who make money out of photography is very small percentage of camera buyers. OM-D appeal to them (even not all of them impressed by it though, i think it is the ugliest thing i have ever seen).
So I have no doubt that you will read that lots of people bought OM D and few bought K01 because you spend time with crowd who is likely to buy SLR type camera.
With K01 pentax is not wooing OMD crowd, they are wooing the majority of camera buyers that is normal public. So if design appeal to them K01 would sell well.
If I were a business selling cameras, appeal to photographers is what i would be least worried about specially when I had K5 in market just for them.

you guys are not every well informed. And it is not you (general person) fault, it is difficult to know about the things not related to work field.
Between 1950 and 1970 we had our most important developments which are still the best methods to solve engineering problems in research field. Here are few very important ones:
1955-56 : Conjugate algorithm was developed (re-invented). krylov subspace methods are still backbone of optimization. By 1970 we had Bi conjugate gradient algorithm invented and working. Other methods were also in place. Not much has changed from that time.
1965: Cooley Tukey reinvented base 2 FFT algorithm and in 70s split radix was in place. Anyway FFT was available in 70s.
1969: Paul created generalized block cyclic reduction for direct solution of elliptical partial differential equations. Very useful and very much used algorithm when computers were not so good. (The idea cropped up because NASA's insistence for finding fast algorithms because computational power was not so good . Originally proposed in ~ 1956)
1967-70 : Numerical methods most used algorithm (in todays software) multigrids was already given. This is used in many many places related research. This is work horse of many many engineering softwares today.
By 1970: Fluid dynamics main algorithm SIMPLE was invented. Still most used algorithm in fluid dynamics.
List is long, but the point is most of the today's main used algorithms were invented by 1970. What we lacked was that our hardware was not so good. It was very poor compared to today but it was far far better than abacuses. I have read lots of papers from that time and engineers were very capable that time.
1950s was the time of abacuses. By 1970 we had a man on moon.
PS: sorry for technical jargon.

All this is well and good but NO USE since the sensor is piece of crap. Even if Olympus gives a gold coin with their cameras they are useless as camera since the sensor in them is crippled.
With K-01 at least you have the sensor which is one of the best in today's time.

place is udaipur , India.
When there is no rain for 2-3 years, these lakes dry up. Still good enough for some good photos.

Today went to osaka for touch and try event. (yesterday it got canceled due to typhoon )
Did try k-q adapter with 40mm pancake and 60-250mm lens.
Here are few points: - It is like shooting with microscope in place of lenses.
- Numbers on adapter are for aperture setting.
- No autofocus with adapter, manual focus only.
- No image stabilization (This is what i was told by the person there but i think it might be false given that it has in body stalization and if camera knows length then why not??)
- Did see prints made with photos taken with adapter on. The sizes of prints were around 50cm or so. They all looked very good.
- I asked about q adapters for other mount lenses say for example sony mount lenses. He said at the moment no plans by his knowledge.
- I did not feel any problems using the adapter. But camera was mounted on tripod, hand held shooting might be difficult with large lenses.
Other than this. Did see prints with all the lenses offered (most of them were impressive). I did try all the lenses too, including zoom and fisheye. They are all very tiny. Q is real answer to compact system problem.

on the other hand, k mount 135mm f3.5 has given me some very good images. I regret giving it to my friend. So i am looking for takumar version of 135mm f3.5.
Here is an example: |

Prove it.
If you can not prove it, then it is another one of silly opinion of yours which has almost ZERO value.

Really :-D Kidding
PS: when people write that you can not beat physics, they usually meant about low light where larger sensor gathers more light and thus has advantage. We are talking about situation when light is good and i could shoot landscape that require deep DOF.
