what a sad thing, my k50 just got the same problem, in LV mode it is ok all the time, but not for viewfinder mode, sometimes fine but most of the time taking dark photos...

Dear All,
I recently acquired a 2nd K5iis in order to replace my old and good K20d, but found an issue when setting AF lever to either centre or SEL and select the middle focus point, it is so hard to get focused, most of the time the lens just kept retrieving. However, if I select other points or set AF to auto, it seems has no issue at all. Could it be a hardware issue of some settings I have to change? I have reset the settings in the menu by the way.

Dear All,
I have taken some trial shoots with my new lens this morning, and found one pic has a vertical line, please see the 100% cropped photo attached. It appears in this photo only.
But I am still wondering if this shows a sign that the CCD may have problems?
The lens is F100mm/f2.8 macro, shot at 1/125 sec, f/2.8 and iso100.

Thanks a lot guys for your prompt replies! It seems what I see through the viewfinder is quite normal. I am relieved and very happy to make the decision to have K20D among other choices.

Hi,
Maybe it is a silly question.
I just received my first DSLR - K20D, after few days play it around I suddenly noticed there seems to be many tiny dots distributed quite evenly over the viewfinder, especially when focusing against bright objects, they are getting more obvious. I am wondering if it is just by the feature of natural-bright-MATTE focusing screen or my viewfinder has problems. I suppose it should be clear like a mirror...
