Vegas does what the other NLE software does, at a fraction of the price. It is the only way to go, IMO.

I have tried most video editing programs, and Vegas is the way to go.
No crashes, intuitive interface, speed and most importantly it handles full HD without problems.
They have free trials so try it and see if its up your alley.

8x10 directly on the glass using the low resolution optical path. For smaller formats, liquid mount is an option with an appropriate negative holder system, but I have not yet explored that route. I have only used the holders that shipped with the scanner.

I largely agree with Seamuis. My first good camera was the Honeywell cheaper version - the H1a. It set the standard for what a camera should feel like in your hands. One of my college friends had a couple of Leica M2 at the time (1964), and he wished his Leica lenses felt as good as that Super Takumar 55 f2. Then when we started doing 16x20 enlargements he was also amazed at how sharp it was. After 40 years with other cameras I found a near mint H1a and had Eric do a CLA, and it is just as good as I remembered. So I found another as a backup. Yes, I still like the Spotmatic, MX, and LX (my last film model Pentax), but working with that un-metered H1a is special, and I seem to get shots with it I miss with the others - possibly because I'm not worried about tweeking exposure. I also have Leicas and the major "classic" film SLRs - but the H1a always has that special feel to it.

its funny so many people have asked me that recently, especially when I boldly make it clear what I prefer every time I post. see signature. of course, I understand most won’t get that, especially with no built in meter, but its all good. sometimes a camera just speaks to you, you just know its right. a tool is a tool, but there is always a certain degree of personal attachment and fondness for a quality tool, and so when it comes to my choice, that trumps anything else. I have several really nice cameras including Leica, but nothing I have ever held feels more right than my SV. I gave one away as a gift to my ex-fiancé, and though I had no regrets about it, I felt something missing and eventually sold a lot of nice equipment to get my hands on a black body SV. couldn’t be happier. I may be poetic in my ideals, but I think the SV is the best camera Asahi Opt. ever produced. and Ive owned and/or used just about every great pentax (and pre-pentax) camera they ever manufactured.

MattC - thank you for the kind words! I have to get a better scan of it to see if I can blow it up. I might've had a little camera shake going on. :0/
Chris - thanks! it's at a little fenced in area next to a dilapidated old building on the corner of S. Elati and Bayaud in Denver. It's quite overgrown at this point, but there are a lot of rusty old gas pumps and such there. you have to shoot through metal chain link fence or stand on something to see over. I actually pulled my car up last summer and stood on it, but most of my good shots were through the fence. here are the ones from last year. they were shot on fuji 200 and cross processed (pardon the poor scan quality). It's a cool location, but there aren't that many good shots to be had right now due to the overgrowth.

AFAIK all the Argus rangefinders have a register of around 33mm, much shorter than the Pentax 45.45mm. But the Tele-Sandmar is very very easy to adapt to PK mount with infinity focus.
1) Cut a ~41mm hole in the middle of a one-buck PK body cap.
2) Use contact cement to glue the cap over the larger rear ring.
That's all there is! The rear element extends about 1mm past the body-cap's base, allowing plenty of clearance for the mirror. This black body cap (not the thin white one supplied by Pentax) is about 13mm thick. Positioning the lens thusly, subtracts that register difference and allows infinity focus.
No image there, but I believe you anyway. That sounds real interesting! And better than my Loreo 35mm f/11 PC-shift lens-in-a-cap (30g). EDIT: Oops, that does sound too heavy. Thanks for checking.
I've another Enna Sandmar for Argus, the 35/4.5 (60g), supposed to have a 'funky' look, whatever that means. It is trickier to adapt than is the 100/4.5. Can't use a PK body cap -- too thick. Maybe an M42 body cap? Or I could do it with a 42mm-Series6 step ring -- I have to look for one. And that should work for a Tele-Sandmar too. And maybe also the Cintar 50/3.5. Hmmm...
Aesthetic qualm: I have two Tele-Sandmar 100s and one Sandmar 35. The Tele that I adapted was a bit beat-looking, so glue doesn't disfigure it too much. My others are collectible-quality, with complete cases+caps+hoods+etc all shining and clean. I'd hate to muck-up the 35. I need to find a cheap beat copy. Yet another quest. :(
But an ultralight in the 24-30mm range is still my goal. Off to fantasyland...
