Hello all.
I've been looking around the internet without finding the exact answer I'm looking for. So, here's my questioning :
I have a DA* 50-135mm in my bag. LOVE it, great lens, but with the use I have for the camera as we speak, I need something with a bigger reach.
Is it possible to find a telephoto lens, f2.8 with a range from something around 100 to 300mm with a BIG glass, 70mm diameter and up that fits a Pentax ?? Not an obligation to be a Pentax product, I'm fine going with a Sigma or other maker.
The only answers I get from my search are primes at 200 or 300mm. They are nice (very nice) but I'd prefer something with a zoom, more versatile for my needs.
I'm I deaming of a utopia here or is it something I could find ?
I'm asking you guys now, Pentax gurus because my searches came back almost empty.
Thanks for the help anyone can provide.

Hi Jaque Yes, it is Only camera, 15M pixels no video option No, LCD screen is fixed to the camera but can be easily seen from wide angles No, but it comes with the battery grip and 3 batteries with charger. There's a battery in the grip so you double the capacity if needed.
Hope it answers your questions

Picked up package sent by Jack today.
Perfectly packed and came with ALL items we talked about. He stuck to it's word even if we had some shipping problems with the delivery address.
I would recommend Jack to anyone if future items are for sale. He's quick to reply and an honest person to deal with.
Thanks a lot for a perfect transaction.
Ciao

Yes, it's a common project with the wife. Done some major items on the "to do list" and she still needs a little work over time, but she's in pretty good shape for a 27 years old car.
Weird how it rapidly becomes addictive to drive it !!
Thanks for the comments fellas :o

Pictures taken on the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit in Montréal. Have goose bumps every time I go on the island and today was no exception.

Hi GeoJerry.
No HDR in use here. Just played a tinny bit with color saturation and contrast, but the picture is pretty much what you see standing there.
Hi slowpez.
Thanks. Just after the shot, I had a huge smile looking at it on the camera screen. Turned out even better once on the computer.

I have to admit tough that I DID NOT AJUST THE WHITE BALANCE. Never tought of this one so the camera was in auto WB. Maybe that's why it turns out so yellow/gold :o

Hey Christian.
Converting them to B&W, did'nt tought of that, it could be a good idea, I'll try it, thanks.
For the yellow cast, it's the natural colour of the lighting in Rome, so they trully are what you'd see beeing there. Still, I like that yellow/gold effect.
But i'll try the B&W, thanks for the tip

Here are some other photos of our trip in the Eternal City.
I have a lot (I mean a lot - over 900) of photos, but those are the ones I wanted to share with you fellas.
Hope you like them and all comments are welcome.
1. Ceilings in the Vatican Museum. There rooms were once the private appartments of Popes in the middle ages.
2. Dome in one of the exposition chambers in the Vatican Museum.
3. Sistine chapel. Back wall with the painting of The Last Judgement. Technicaly, we are not supposed to take pictures in the chapel.
4. Sistine chapel - ceiling. Each square represents a chapter of the old testament.
5. St-Peter's Basilica baldaquin and dome.......extremely impressive
6. St-Peter's Basilica - one of the many little chapels inside the Basilica
7. Piazza Navona - Water fumes spread under the umbrellas to cool down the place
8. Pompeï - entrance of the Temple of Venus
9. Pantheon - Entrance to the temple with light in the oculus
10. Pantheon - Very impressive building, had chills running through my spine every time I stood in front
11. Colosseo - me (and my ugly mug) standing in front.
12. Colosseo - The side that is almost still intact
13. Colosseo arena - Stitched with 8 pictures
14 . Palazzo dei Conservatori - Where all tresures found in the Antique Imperial roman Forum are collected and showned to the public. Beautiful museum on the Capitol hill. This statue is of Medusa.
15. St-Peter's basilica - Stitched with 8 photos
16. View of Rome from the St-Peter's Basilica Dome. Stitched from 14 photos |
