I'm in the same boat as you. I'm considering going to see the F1 race in Singapore at the end of September, in which case i'll need something longer than the 17-70mm I have. I can get the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 for 23% less than the Pentax 50-135mm f2.8, but since i'll be outdoors in the tropics, rain is a very real possibility and I might need that weather sealing!
My wallet is already crying at the prospect: buying either lens will almost double the cost of my trip (though the lens is a long term investment).

Ah, I see what the problem is. On the grip side of the flash there is a hook that latches the flash in the closed position. The hook is on a circular mount which can rotate ~30 degrees so as to release the flash. Behind the hook towards the back of the camera there is a rubber covered button. The problem is that when the button is depressed, the release hook was being pulled back so the flash never locked! Looks like i'll have to take in in to get fixed :(

I noticed that the lock is on the grip side. I've tried applying pressure directly on top of it but that still doesn't work :(

Anyone else had this problem? It's occured on my K200D a few times now. What happens is the pop up flash sometimes won't lock in the closed position, so if I take make finger off it pops up again.
If I put my K200D into it's camera bag so the flash is head down, it'll usually lock after some time, but if I open it again immediately after i'll have the same problem again. This is the first winter my K200D has seen, so i'm wondering it's something to do with the cold. If so that would be pretty poor as the temperature never gets that low here in Sydney.
