I have a Pentax K-1, my flash unit is AF-540FGZ. (also have Pocket Wizard plusIII)
Trying to figure out how to get the flash off the camera have been unable?
Any help would be great , do I have everything I need or do I need to purchase anything else.

Update - took the K3 II to Henry's here in Canada - Salesperson check my camera with a K3 II store and my lenses attached to theirs , so they are sending my to be "repaired"
I hope Pentax just exchanges it for a new camera

I am taking my K3-II & my K3 with all my lenses back to Henry's here in Canada for them to take a look.
Will post what happens later today or tomorrow.

Update - sigma 50 mm 1.8 lens will not attach to the K3-II as well.
Called Pentax support both K3 & K3-II have the same mounts so it should work.

I have a K-3 and a K3-II but the above mention lens won't mount to K3-II but will to the K3, what gives?

ended up taking the lens back to where I purchased it. Henry's is sending out to be repaired ( back in 6 to 8 weeks)

The lens does have an aperture Ring, I have moved the ring all the way over to the A position. The ring does click into place.I have enabled the aperture ring.
When I used it for the first time it did start to work. I was able to shot in landscape but when I tried for portraiture mode it would blink and change the aperture to F-- and not work.

The lens does have an aperture ring, but now I do think the their is a problem with the contacts. Taking it back to Henry's to see what they can do.

Yes, that is the lens. I have depress the rotate ring . When I did this when first put on the lens, & the aperture did appear, but now it does not it flickers and shows F--.

I have a new K-3 and recently purchased a used Sigma 24-70mm F2.8. My problem is when I attached it to the camera and set the aperture value to say F4.0 or any other value the camera lens aperture value flickers and reads F-- . The camera will take a picture but it is black.
Is there a problem with the lens.

May be heading to Walt Disney World in Florida for our 25th Anniversary. Will be taking my Sigma 50mm lens and also my Lensbaby composer with my sweet optic 35 as well. going to experiment to see how this turns out.

I have a K-5, I am going to Niagara Falls to take fireworks pictures.
I will be using a tripod with the K-5 shutter release.
I want to ask what is the best settings to use. I will be using a Sigma 10mm-20mm Wide angle lens.
Any help will be greatly accepted.

I ended up returning the above model & purchasing the hoodman H-EYEC18L and modifying to my K-R. It is a very snug fit but it won't be coming off anyway.

I am trying to find out the measurements of the eyepiece and is it compatible with the Nikon 22mm Square eyepiece as I want to purchase a hoodman eyepiece for it.?

the "official photographer" was using a Nikon - do not know what model or model of Flash.
She was also not using a diffuser at all.

I was at my nephew's wedding -,taking "unofficial photos & video". Well the official wedding photographer told me my flash & a gary fong diffuser where interfering with her shots. Oh by the way most of the pictures & ceremony where outside. :mad:
just a general question is this possible?

No I did not have a receiver on the AF360FGZ flash unit, but I am considering purchasing one for it.

I am using Hahnel Combi TF,Pentax AF540FGZ & AF360FGZ Flashes
i want to be able to use both flashes off the camera.
attaching the receiver to the AF540FGZ.
the other flash is off the camera as well.
attach the transmitter to my K-5.
I can get only the AF540FGZ to trigger.
I am missing something?
