Lomography has started a "Kickstarter" project that includes Pentax K mount option. The Neptune Convertible Art Lens System consist of three lenses and a lens base. Combine the lens base with one of three convertible front lenses for different fixed focal lengths — 3.5/35, 2.8/50 and 4.0/80 — and alternate between a wide range of stopless apertures and special aperture plates using just one lens system. I love this picture. It even caught my attention when viewed as a thumbnail!

It really adds 40 % to (almost) all your lenses - at a minimal increase in weight :)
Here are some shots I took using my Pentax 300mm and the 1.4 telextender.

Thanks for your insightful posting. You seem well informed of the Pentax line. And yes the 10-17 is a great lens especially as a city walk-around,

Try removing the battery and give the camera a "cold boot" with the battery reinstalled. This technique revived my K-5 IIs from a firmware update that caused a power insatiability. Good luck....

The technique I find that works best is based on the method in the link from MPrince. Instead of using a tripod and shifting to manual focus I hand hold the camera and auto focus on the pattern. I then move towards and away from the computer screen until I obtain maximum moire and make the adjustment based on whether I'm closer or further away, then retest to confirm the adjustment. I have found that all of my Pentax lenses were good and that only one Tamron lens needed to be adjusted. I hope this helps simplify your calibration process.

No! I love my K5IIs. Also the APS-C sensor gives a 50% increase in lens size without wasting 50% of the pixels from cropping a FF image

Loving the detail from the IIs!! Some of the results from a trip to the local zoo with my Sigma 50 - 500 APO DG and Tamron 28 - 75. All shots were hand held

I've noticed that when I focus my K5 iis in Live view that the camera zooms into the scene. Is this unique to the K5ii and iis?

I had a K10 converted by Spencers. Yes they are not good with email - but always answer the phone! The camera works great!

I believe that IR conversions remove the AA (Low Pass) filter and replace it with the IR filter. I have a K20 with the IR conversion and notice no moire artifacts.
