Good evening,
Just won a bid for apparently very clean 67ii body, very excited - I wonder what flashes can I use? Is it true that the more recent units use lower voltage so they won't damage the old camera circuitry? Does it support TTL flash?
Thank you in advance!

Good morning,
I'm trying to connect a Promaster 7000 flash to K-3, it won't fire and it gives me this distress mark on the LCD screen. What is it? Generally speaking, for some reason I couldn't find it online - where should I've looked it up?
Thank you!

Just to put it in proportion, I have tried the 150/2.8 FA on 645D and a distant target and I didn't see any loss of sharpness. I would say, it's my favorite lens overall without any obvious flaw, very bright, light, focuses well, very sharp. Portraits come out just great. The minimal focusing distance is not short enough for very close shots if you want to fill the whole frame, though.
The old MF 150 is completely different - very sharp, compact and light, but dimmer and is intended for tele use.
I am not sure, what would affect the quality more - cropping or the diopter lens in the front.
Extension tubes don't support autofocus but they do support auto exposure so it is a decent option with possibly the best quality overall; can anybody really compare?
I have a new in box (old stock) lens and the tubes for sale but have no clue about customs and shipping to the UK.
KEH is very good.
My experience on ebay is overall very positive; both the lens and the tubes pop up regularly there.
Best luck! Post some pictures here after you get to use it!

Thank you! I am in Cleveland. Local guys would develop, but it is about $15 as opposed to Walmart which was different each time but somewhat around $5 on average.

Guys, thank you for the answers!
I was always afraid to screw up the temp control.
How long does it take to develop a 5 film batch?

Lab for sure. I wouldn't dare to develop color film at home. I know it's possible, but not this year at least

Guys,
I looked over the last threads and didn't see this topic discussed lately.
How to develop 120/220 film for a reasonable price?
I used to use Walmart which would develop and print small prints for single dollars a roll. Looks like this service is over. What do you recommend to use now?
Thanks,
Maxim
645N with bunch of lenses and I just love the camera even though it's obsolete :-)

Mike,
Who is "regularly selling" the 1.5 teleconverters? Can you give me a link please?
Have a nice day,

What is still available? Do you still have the 300mm FA? Is it 4 or 5.6? In what condition?
Thank you,
Maxim

Guys,
can anybody comment on 645 2x teleconverter? Is it worth the hassle?
I mean, 645 system was bought for a top-notch quality; if the converter would visibly affect it, it defies the purpose, and I can get extreme tele much more easily with digital bodies. On the other hand, if I can double the reach of 200/4 and especially 300/4 for low cost and weight, it sounds very tempting...
Thank you,
Maxim

thank you, I am aware of it in general, but have no detailed knowledge. Any idea if it's mostly the light or the heat, if the kind of the light makes any difference etc?

Guys,
Does anybody know if 645N accepts Zn rechargeable batteries?
these new Zn batteries are amazing (when freshly charged :-) They lose charge like the usual NiMH) in the devices which can accept them. My flash (Sigma 500 Super) recharges much faster then with any NiMH - theoretically, it should be 50% faster, I guess. However, I put them in my MZ-S and burnt it immediately; the repair will cost me a fortune.
So, does any know about 645N?
Thanks,
Maxim

a new like this is impossible to come by, and I need one. If this one has scuffs, I'll pass on it, but good luck, it's something people might need and will have problems finding, and the original ones used to be ridiculously expensive.

Dear ARCASIA,
I would buy all your primes (45, 75, 150, 200, 300). Please let me know if they are still available. How much would it cost to ship them all insured with delivery confirmation to the US? Would you give any discount as I purchase them all together?
Thank you,
Maxim

thank you. I have started thinking along the same lines. The cheapest 645 lens would be 75/2.8 and I have couple. Lamp should be LED which would probably solve the heat dissipation problem and provide better light output - if I can find a higher power LED working at 110v. (BTW, who can tell me, why I can buy 6W LED flashlight in any Target store, but no money can buy a decent (any, actually) 110V lamp rated at more that 3W, and I am not even sure they are rated right?). I'm afraid I'll have to build my own panel with multiple LEDs or get several 3W flashlight bulbs and a transformer. A cardboard tube lined with aluminum foil, some home-made rails for the slides cut in the middle of the tube... Should be doable, with lots of epoxy I guess... rear cap for 645 lens with the base cut off should hold the lens alright... Hmmm sounds interesting.

thank you. But how's about some analog devices - real projector, large viewer (you know, the one which projects from behind a mattle screen with say 10x magnification - etc? I know about hand-held viewers, but it's only for individual use and I would like to share it with several people in real time.

Guys,
I am not sure it's the right place to post the question, but if you don't mind, what's the best way of presenting 645 size slides without breaking the bank?
I enjoy my new (old :-) ) 645 system, but couldn't decide what to do with the slides.
Thank you,
Maxim

Tried it recently on K20 and K-7 against bunch of other glass, the image quality is amazing. The build and the ease of use are superb, as expected.
