Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 HSM II Asking Price
800 USD Item Location
san marcos, tx (United States) Item Description
I don't need telephoto too often, but I thought this Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 HSM II always delivered, especially for candid portraits and weddings. Although it is bigger and heavier, I actually prefer using this lens to the 50-135 most of the times I need telephoto, and this 70-200, the da*55mm, and my k-5 are the last three things to go from my pentax line-up (I'm just finishing switching to Nikon).
It is four years old,and in perfect working order (not used that often), with only a few scuffs on the outer casing, and no issues with the optics, HSM or mechanics.
I don't have any feed back here, but I can give you my ebay details if you need them. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Pentax DA* 50-135mm, Sigma 8-16mm Asking Price
530 USD Item Location
San Marcos, TX (United States) Item Description
I recently switched over primarily to a Nikon d800 and I'm starting to sell off some of my lenses for my k-5.
The da* 50-135mm from late 2012 and is in practically new condition with all of the original packaging. I bought it to take the place of my 70-200mm ,but I found I really missed the extra range, so I've only used it a few times when I needed it's exceptional bokeh. -$900 + (free shipping)
The sigma 8-16mm is an amazing lens that is in very good shape. It comes with the included case and the original box. $525 + (free shipping)-----SOLD
Let me know if you have any questions, and I can give you my ebay details or work email / number since I don't have much feedback on pentaxforums. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

First off, thanks for hosting such a awesome contest with such a personal connection, and cheers to all those posting great photos!
While I have newer landscape shots, this one I think fits the theme better than any other I have.
The location was at Enchanted Rock (the world's third largest), outside Fredericksburg, Texas about two years ago around 6:30 in the morning during the spring wildflower season. It was very overcast and windy that morning, with gusts around 45mph. This picture was taken with my k20 and a sigma 10-20mm set at around 12mm on a tripod with 5 exposure bracketing. I normally am not a HDR fan, but in this shot, I liked how I could make the wildflowers in the wind take on a more ethereal quality and the surface of the rock look more foreboding and permanent (it's estimated to be 1 billion years old, so pretty close!). When I was taking and processing this picture, I was really trying to contrast the time scales between the rock, plants, the vernal water pool and the clouds. I tried to use the wideness of the lens to create both a more interesting perspective of the rock and sky, and to make the wild flowers seem more isolated and desperate to cling on to their short existence.
I currently have the pentax 16-50 and sigma 10-20 in the wide range, and while both are great lenses, neither has the next level up, "stunning" quality of the 21mm limited (I've used the 35macro and love it). I opted for zooms to allow for the most creativity in composition without breaking the bank, but If I was chosen, I promise the 21 would get thoroughly enjoyed!

A few more from the same shoot. The AF was too slow with the sigma to keep up with the horse, so I was generally in manual focus, but the dynamic range of the k5 definitely came in handy.

I've been using the K-5 the last week and it has definitely been pretty impressive. These shots were from Tom Petty a few nights ago with a sigma 70-200, mostly at 1600-3200.
