I was having the same vertical banding issue as well. I say was as mine has now been fixed. I sent it back to Pentax UK in January and they returned it 2 weeks later with a new circuit board which seems to have solved the problem.:D
Unfortunately I have had to send it back as I now have an image quality issue.:mad:.

I got my K20D back yesterday.:D
So I'm looking forward to the weekend even more now I can go out and take some photos, weather permitting.

Hi everyone,
I've also received the email requesting a post.:o. I've actually been a member for a while now but I'm more a reader than a writer, & I've learned alot from this forum just reading the posts.
I got back into photography about 2 1/2 years ago when i bought an istDL2, which had served me well until I upgraded to a nice shiney new K20D with DA 16-45 lens just before Xmas. I must say I think it is a brilliant camera. But unfortunately it is currently reciding at Pentax service UK as it was suffering from Vertical Bandings.:(
Hopefully I'll get it back next week and can start taking some more photos.
