I am so sorry that I wasn't clear about what I was asking. The lens that came with my K2000 is a nice lens. I was thinking that I wouldn't be able to take pictures like the one Marc Sabatella post here. I was looking for a lens that had that capability to take such photograph's. If the lens that I have has that capability then I'm more then happy with the one I have. I just see so many lenses in the Market Place thread that it's easy for a newcomer like myself to get confused. :o, But I want to thank everyone that replied and tried to help me out. Before I head to the mountains, I just wanted to know if the 18mm-55mm lens I have will work or not. If not and anyone has something else that will work better and it's for sale, please let me know. I like the lens that came with it. But I want to get a wide angle lens for Landscapes. I got a Pentax because I thought there wouldn't be so much confusion about what lens was what. ;) boy was I wrong. I had no idea that my kit lens was about the same thing as the one I was looking to buy. Thanks!!

Could anyone please tell me if this lens is worth getting. I only want one that AF and is sharp. I think this is a wide angle lens, but I'm not sure. If not what is a good wide angle lens to get? I only want a lens that I can put on the camera and start shooting. Like the lens that came with it. I have a K2000. Thanks!!!

So does that mean that I can use any Canon or Nikon lens too? Maybe this would be easier for me if I know what lens I can't use.LOL!!! So if I can use any brand is there still limitations with any brand? I'm not trying to be slow here, but I am really trying to understand what I can and can't use before I put out any money and get stuck with something I can't use. Thank you for your reply!

Hello to everyone!!! I am pretty much new to Photography and just ordered a Pentax k 2000. I have a Nikon D60 and with all the lens choices out there I lost. From what I understand all Pentax camera's are compatible with all Pentax lens. And that is why I went with a Pentax. Please don't anyone tell me I'm wrong.:mad:
I'm really into Nature and Macro photography and wanting to lean all I can. I'm still confused about what lens that can be use that is not a Pentax. I really am interested in getting a macro lens, but don't know which one to get. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lori A.K.A Swirl
