I originally shot this on a green screen using a large softbox, accent light and background light. I was concerned about the dark circles and bags under the eyes and the uneven skin tones.
I first used Photoshop to repair the eyes, adjust the the color balance,crop and lighting using the illumination tool in Photoshop.
I then turned to Portrait Professional to smooth the face and correct the minor imperfections left.
Lastly I used Photo Key to add the background and a small amount of gaussian blur to further smooth the image.
This image was shot using a Nikon D80, 18-70 lens at F~9/ 125 sec ISO 100

About the Head ?
This was created by Chinese artists Gao Qiang and Gao Zhen, known as the Gao Brothers in 2009. In the outdoor sculpture Miss Mao Trying to Poise Herself at the Top of Lenin’s Head, a relatively small Mao figure balances on the head of Vladimir Lenin (1870–1924), leader of Russia’s Bolshevik revolution and first head of the USSR. After Mao’s forces defeated Chiang Kai-shek and his army in 1949, China emerged as the People’s Republic of China and private enterprises became state owned and farms became collectives. In this monumental sculpture, the artists satirize the careful balancing act that China practices today now that it has evolved into a State Capitalist economy controlled by the Communist party.
This is a big sculpture, approx 30 ft tall, located outside of the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in KC. Mo.
This is my interpatation of the sculpture via photography and photoshop in a negative space setting.

I am aware of that and wasn't suggesting someone run down to the playground and start taking pictures of strangers children. That could be a dangerous idea.
What I did say was, if you don't have children of your own, you know someone who does. Implying you would know the people you were dealing with and having their permission to photograph their children.. But thanks for pointing that out, it's not a good idea to photograph other people's children without their consent in advance.

Given this is a world wide site with different seasons and climates, I think a good subject would be " Portrait of a Child " This is something almost anyone, anywhere could take part in. If you don't have a child of your own, you know someone who does. They would probably love to have you take some portraits of their child or children. And trust me, it can be a challenge. Just to make it more interesting, make it from newborn to 10 yrs. They take direction so well. LOL

Last two lenses, a Vivitar 70-210 2.8 in like new condition w/hard case and a Vivitar 28mm 2.8 in very good condition. I had these posted for $125.00 & $40.00. I need to get them gone, first $100.00 + $15.00 shipping can have them both, shipping may seen a little high, but the 70-210 is very heavy. Both are "A" lenses.

K100D with 3 lenses, a 18-125 Sigma like new in box, a 70-300 Sigma APO DG, like new in box, a Bower dedicated ttl flash, a LowePro bag, a 1gb sd card and other misc stuff as seen in photo. Both lenses have a uv and cp filter with them. The lenses have hardly been used, the camera has about 3000 clicks on it, works like new, the flash lightly used. Also A Vivitar 28mm 2.8 "A" lens, not shown, but like new.
