I purchased the K-7 last July. For the past 6 months, I've been noticing that if you hold the camera and twist your hand about you can feel something heavy moving inside. You can also hear a faint low-pitched rattling sound. I called Pentax and a very knowledgeable tech support person told me that the movement and the sound are perfectly normal. It's the SR system. I put the question again in different words, but he maintained his explanation with great confidence. I want to believe him and probably do. While I did not notice the movement or the sound for the first few months, the truth is that no camera function has been affected ever since I did start noticing it. Everything works absolutely fine. However, I am now approaching the end of my warranty period. Can anyone please comment: have you noticed the sound or the movement in a K-7 or other stabilised body, Pentax or other? Is it normal? Should I send it in anyway? (I hate hospitals and other repair facilities and have never visited or sent my things to one.)
