Was on a 3rd floor rooftop, all around me where fireworks. I was taking a pic of one that was very far from me. Could I have adjusted something to avoid the smoke all around which gave a haze effect on my pic |

I think with this picture it is a statement that using 250, you have to use tripod. Most of my of pics are really not that clear |

Can somebody out there tell me what could I have done with my situation during the shoot of these pics to reduce blurriness. Firstly, I am in a boat not a big boat but an outrigger and I hope you have an idea how small an outrigger is in the Philippines. So movement of the boat is not steady. Secondly, I'm using available light meaning long exposure.

Did my best not to have a shake. All shots were taken during a boat ride |

thank you guys, now I have to scout for a good tripod. Good tripod here would cost more less around US$500 beyond my budget but I think can find one good enough

Since I got my K20d, I have been scouting for accessories here in the Philippines which you cannot find much and if there are, prices are double with what is being offered in US market. How pathetic since some cameras are manufactured here. Since a tripod can be used by any camera thinking of buying it than the flash but was wondering which one would be more useful to me. I love shooting in available light, nature and architecture not much with portraits.

@jct
is this any better, I'm not sure if there is still a shake but took your advice to have a bigger aperture (used f/2) here, 50mm and trimmed the destruction below |

i know I should have used a sturdier prop for a tripod but if there was no shake would this picture do for a low light setting?

Could somebody do a critique on this picture. I like taking pics with available light and I know this one is with a shake (not using a tripod) but are my settings correct?
ISO - 560
Aperture f/4.0
Exposure 3
EV +2
Focal length 70 mm
no flash
If you were to take the shot what setting would you use and what would be the result of your shot? |

Thank you for the comments.
My only regret with the second pic is the petal got cut. I like it too
The third pic was taken with a 55 mm, my kitlens that is the only one I have. The swirling might be due to the wind blowing(probably).
As for the last, i didn't know the setting was changed by my son to multiple shots and it was windy.
