The action shot is fantastic - the play at home really grabs me.
If you were able to make it perfect, a shallower depth of field, to keep the viewer from noticing the spectators' legs so much.
The first pic confuses me. The further objects, that might be blurred if out of focus, just seem to have high-ISO noise. But the close objects are not noisy.
How does this happen?

I just figure that if the street price for a new copy is this low, it will affect the used market as well. Pretty quickly.

I agree with the lack of detail on the left side. But to crop it out would lose the interesting light in the foreground.

If you plan to manual focus, you might consider one of the split-prism focusing screens.
