Any photography related car stickers?

no stickers on my cars... I even take the dealer number plate frames and badges off (if they didn't do it themselves on my pre purchase instructions). I had one salesman who I think was deeply offended I didn't want his advertising on my car, however he did what was asked.

Mines a car I own (1970 Monaro, HG is the series). Joined a car forum (1997 I believe) and everyone used their cars as their usernames, so I did too. Been using it ever since.

:)

I now have one camera and one flash, rather than a combo unit!

Needed wife to hold camera and flash while I pressed jewellers screwdriver down hard and turned screwdriver with pliers! Screws were pretty tight but mostly the angle leaves no where to grip the screwdriver.

Have removed the pin and spring. Interestingly, the locking mechanism that clamps the flash to the hotshoe still works fine. Combined with how tight it is sliding into the hotshoe anyway, the pin (which is quite a solid item.. don't go trying to bust it off!) is complete overkill!

Regards, Nige

care to enlighten us on the correct method?

Regarding the amateur / professional thing... a Pro is more likely to break anything, mostly from being in a hurry! Most amateurs cherish their equipment!

I reckon that's what I did, in a rush to remove it and tried to pull it off while the locking arm was invoked. I had removed it on numerous occasions successully.

I'd imagine like your lens manufacturer who couldn't see into the future, a prospective buyer who hasn't read this couldn't either and since the lens wouldn't physically mount, he passed on the deal. Jeztasic will know having read this thread be wiser, but still unable to see into the future. :)

Wet SD Card

recently had a card get wet with seawater (UW camera that leaked) and once home, I stuffed it into the card reader and it was fine. A wash in fresh water straight away wouldn't be a bad idea but if it's been a while since it was initially dunked, wouldn't make much difference, the corrosion would have already started. I'd think that letting it dry out before trying to read it would be the most important bit... get your images off and then turf it!

since cropping the text might reduce the photo too much, another quick & dirty option might be to fill the area and add your correct text... something like..
