Once you own version 5 updates before the decimal point are free, just consume bandwidth! 😐I think there's a 20% off offer ATM

I trust them. It was their measurements that led me not to go from the K20 to the K7.

:oHaven't developed my Lightroom K3 wow profile as yet.
Also I don't think Lr5 is reading the extra DNG info for zoned WB, certainly can't pick up RAW HDR

It's quite simple:
on- the camera will still override the parameters set by you should it measure that the exposure will be off
Off- you'll get what you get.
Generally I have it on. But off for specific user modes ie. Bird in flight...don't want the camera adjusting spot meter

If you can get to a store to try them. My RRS K5 plate is a good fit.

Yes that precluded the point for using extended bracketing on the 5's, for me. Obviously were AA type to have been included then I would like it back. I assume its removal means they're stating how much better AWB and Prime III is. :)

Not on Pentax maybe, that has to be the least of my concerns... if they're running production whilst international aid is required next door I'll be ashamed. :o

Yes... all our brilliant ideas for bracketing AA were for nought...

:p Oh well no point in my keeping the K3 now, you've got the shots I want (especially the Nuthatch). Is it me because, strangely, they seem to look better here than on flickr.
K3 out resolves flickr?

Nice! How did you PP the RAW? When I took it into Lr5 it stripped all the processing away.

One thing I avoid with P-ttl is having auto ISO.

Well at least Pentax can do silver. Having seen the FX, for Nikon black has to be the only option.

Indeed you had to be in AFS. My point is the camera goes into MF... and it is not an option to change it. That was why I'm asking for it to go to AFS if the Catch-in-focus is option is set to yes.

All comparison threads eventually degrade into APSc v's FF. This is independent of the initial test subject.
I did not see a hose featured in either the first two images.

I'm using LR5.2 and I've not got the workflow correct yet. Tried a couple of HDR which are saved to DNG 93MB? And LR kinda stripped the file of any HDR nature (on the principles of "you're not allowed to do that with a DNG"?)
How the HDR DNG appeared in LR5:
Saved to Tiff in camera: |

Yes I saw this behaviour when I switched the camera on (probably to muck about) whist my slot 1 card was in the PC. The camera selected the slot which had a card still in to be the primary and this remained even when the 2nd card was reinserted.
On reflection I felt "of course that makes sense" though I think I better get a 2nd card of the same speed. :) Its sequential not "overflow"
Don't think so... just the method in which the cards are used... would make a easy firmware change to have sequential 1->2 and sequential 2->1 as options to switch card order back, should you desire... possibly far more important when card2 is a Wifi card.
or if Card 2 is empty when Card 1 is reinserted make Card 1 the primary?

Well I was going from a K5 & was looking for K5iis image quality but with improved AF including LV functionality. The fact they gave me AA control was the cherry. Be interested to see the above scene with AA types as that's one of the first examples I've seen of K3 moire.

Rather ruined by taking them into LR5 as it reports the software versions. :( Still got it right before I peeked.

Nice results. What pattern, priorities have you settled on? Though I think my UK targets are going to be slightly smaller.
