Way back in late September 2009, I sent my K7 in to the auth. Australian distributor for a possible anti shake failure. They returned it and said no fault found. (I trusted them but when i half pressed the shutter and turned the camera upside down i could hear a clunk). Some of my lens's weren't as sharp as my k20d but overall i though my body was out of alignment.
To combat the sharpness issue, I bought a LensAlign PRO and the photos were definitely sharper, but as the sharpness reduced i would test the settings i had and found that they were different every 6 months.
This month im off to south africa, So I decided I would take the lens's for a professional alignment (not a pentax repairer, but are a repair for nikon, canon lecia). I just got the quote back and they are replacing the anti-shake unit as they believe that that is part of the issue they are also shimming the lens, testing edge to edge focus etc.
Anyone else had a anti shake unit failure?

definitely, the best thing about the lens is its weight and its size. Its pretty small for the range offered.

the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 II and the Sigma 18-250 have no EXIF data for the lens and the body thinks they are the same lens. Is this normal for a K7?

I just invested in a lens align lite and its definitely worth the money: LensAlign® Focus Calibration System
my sigma 70-200 f2.8 needed -6
sigma 30mm f1.4 needed -2
Pentax 16-50 F2.8SDM needed +4
etc.
It takes a while but its worth it.
I have one issue with the pentax k7 as the sigma 70-200 II and the Sigma 18-250 do not have any Lens EXIF data listed in the photo and the camera thinks they are the same lens.
So if you but the lens align make sure each lens you use is identified correctly.

I went through alot of cards that i had used previously in my k20d without issue which caused no end of grief with the K7 here is a list.)
*AData 16Gb Class 2 (works fine for photos, obviously not fast enough for video)
*AData 16Gb Class 6 (everything appeared to be fine, but every 500 shots i would get 2-6 shots listed as corrupt. Video would randomly stop)
*Slilicon Power 16Gb Class 6 ((everything appeared to be fine, but every 500 shots i would get 2-6 shots listed as corrupt. Video would randomly stop)
the ONLY cards which haven't faulted once is my 2 sandisk extreme III (8Gb). In over 12,000 photos and maybe 3 hours of video perfect every time on the K7

I was talking to a lens repairer and he was saying if you upgrade your camera firmware with a SDM lens attached it upgrades the SDM Lens firmware too.
Im not really sure if it was any truth to it (i normally have my DA* Lens mounted, when i upgrade my firmware)
On the plus side i have always found my 16-50mm always focusses (Both my K20d and K7 flawlessly)
comments?

I was using some cheaper SDHC Cards rated at Class 6 Super Power and an ADATA 16GB Card and they will only record for 30secs before they stop.
Yesterday i bought (2) SanDisk Extreme III 8GB and it works perfectly.
IMHO I wouldn't recommend any cheap cards for recording video.
