Wireless settings

Hey all,

I purchased a Pentax 540FGZ before xmas. Not long after I got it, I was testing out the "wireless" options on some mundane objects. I was getting the flash to fire without any sign of the onboard flash being present (background shadows). Now, Im getting slight shadows from the onboard flash in my photos. Whats the best way around this?? NB: I have the onboard flash strength turned all the way down to minimize its effects.

Cheers

We have 6-8 inches on the ground here. Im hoping to get out tomorrow and do some stuff.

The outline of the tree in one looks strange, like misaligned layers. The compositions are nice though, but could both do with a little cleaning up.

Cheers

Is Russell Crowe the best active actor in the movies?

Johnny Depp was the first person that came to my mind. I saw a preview tonight for another movie where he portrays a fictional character and it looks really good. Seems a bit type cast at times, but he is brilliant. The Pirate trilogy was some of his best work. Im an aussie too and a bit of a fan of Crowe, but I only rank him in the bottom of the top 5 in my books. Something I made from stone is sitting on a cabinet in his house. Pretty chuffed about it.

very nice. saw a photo very similar to this on another forum. Id be tempted to fix the perspective on the sides. The horizon just needs a little lifting. Lovely photo though.

Thank you Ash. I guess this forum deals more with Pentax and its products more than the images taken with them for CC. Thanks again.

Do any of the past and current releases deal with processing noise better or is that a hardware issue (better sensor, processor)??

I have had my Asahi for a couple months now, but have not had the chance to really test it out in a portrait sense. Took this wide open of my newphew as he peered out a window. Not much PP work. Just some levels to make it pop a bit more and colour adjustment. Really love this little lens, need to work with it more.

Excellent stuff...you will love it. I just love how you can personalize just about everything. Not sure if they have upgraded the kit lens in the last 12 months, but the one I have is very good. I was out with a friend the other night and we took shots from the same point with heaps of street lights. My image, not a single flare, his Canon image, it was everywhere. I got the Pentax 18-55II thinking it would be better but you cant seperate them and now Im forced to soley use the Samsung as the Pentax has crap inside the lens and leaves spots on my photos.

This is great. Ive just joined here, and here is a forum dedicated to the samsung line. Although I have most stuff pretty well sorted with my camera, there are always other things that you havent discovered along the way, like 3 months ago I found out that you can adjust the ISO in M by holding down the OK button and turning the front dial...I nearly peed myself I was so happy. Im not sure some people doing the reviews were aware of that because the lack of an ISO button was one of the issues according to them...haha, no its not. And i personally think Samsung have done a few things better than Pentax. For starters, the interface is much easier. I love those big square buttons on the back and I think the slightly alterred prism moulding looks better too. I doubt I'll be upgrading any time soon as im more than happy with it (other than the ISO noise, but Im getting better at removing it).

Howdy doody people,

New to this forum, but not new to photography forum s. Beena a member of another forum I wont mention for over 3 years and another closer to home for almost 1 year. Im just your average everyday enthusiest. I have a GX-20 which Ive had for 12months and although it lacks in a couple areas, its a great camera for the price and is a pleasure to use. Thought I would join here to get specific questions answered in regards to Pentax and K mount equipment. I may even post the odd photo if its worthy. Glad I found this place.

Cheers
