Today 6:28 AM I received this message from paypal about my (Tue, 13 Aug 2013 8pm) order. Looks like ALL orders are getting the ax, even from the 13th. Mine was both 35/2.4 and 50/1.8

Who would I be to tell anyone when to stay, or change brands, or feeling disrespected isn't a great reason for leaving. That's how consumers roll, and companies advertise "feel good" campaigns to keep them. What company wants to make anti-consumers who give negative word of mouth testimony after feeling mistreated? Pentax made the move.........and some feel.........and Pentax knows it very well..........
Sometimes that loyalist attitude makes me into a sucker after realizing company profit came before me. However, as an investor I can't hold it against companies having to make these choices every day, and it's just sound business to approach investors and customers with a balanced viewpoint.
ps, yes I want my lenses at a low price, and I want the stock I own to make me money - now where is my cake I ate?

Just officially cancelled the sale of two lenses from a week ago that have been sitting packed up waiting a shipping notice from Pentax. Couldn't keep the sale on hold indefinitely. It seemed so simple really. Sell two lenses, done, buy lenses online from Pentax, done -
Should have received my lenses from them by now. Instead had to keep my old lenses, and deal with repercussions and inconvenience caused by this unreliable and inept company.
I would be happy if I still receive the 50 and 35mm I ordered. And, I forgive and forget easily, even though I am unrelentingly holding them accountable.

Handle this correctly showing me I deserve a sense of dignity, and you win! There will be a future and you've shown me your willingness to make the investment for it's security.
Don't extend the olive branch, and I'll understand where I stand, as a loyal brand member on a sinking ship you pushed out to sea.
Lets see what Ricoh has planned.............

Want to get the 85mm, and managed to contain myself, so far anyways.
So far the 8mm FE is my only manual focus.

So you're saying that the one shown on ebay does have auto aperture? The one shown on the listing doesn't have the "A" mode on the aperture ring. It doesn't have the button next to the "A" to change auto-manual aperture either.
How about yours?

OK if you want this ALL manual version, but I'd wait for the auto aperture version to come down to $215 or so

Yep. It's about Pentax doing the best thing to keep customers expectations of them real. Fess up and sell the lens Pentax, after all it is the sale price YOU advertised! Quit cancelling orders for lenses you don't have and make some more!

FYI found the promo page with several company rebate deals listed. So, the "excuse" given about the price was "with" the purchase of a DSLR was valid. What makes the reasoning/excuse invalid is - that was last month! PROMO
LOL for all the excuses and reasons given for that price to be in their order system at all. They should have had it straight last month. Talk about a day late and a dollar short..........

Wholeheartedly agree. And, it's soured me to some, like Best Buy, Overstock and few other cases. Home Depot is doing the same thing to me now. The internet use to be where retailers wanted to please customers and expand presence. Now it's just cut-n-run. Amazon is my first choice, just sorry they had to start taxing my state, and that's not their fault. Ebay/paypal gives me mixed feelings, and not my first choice for sure.

Hurt?
Inconveniences YES
I am holding lenses I sold, not sending them out. Because, the ones I bought replace the ones I have packed to send. There is no obvious mistake - it is just as likely they don't have enough to send out ALL of the orders. So, now after they have been looking for excuses, which one is going to make top of the list?

This has caused a chain of unfortunate events for me.
I saw this sale and bought both lenses.
I choose 2 lenses to sell and boxed them up to ship.
I was at work and couldn't ship them yesterday.
Come home to find out I may not get the lenses I bought from Pentax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if the people who bought my two lenses will be mad at me if I don't ship them?

OK, did it. I thought they were only mapped by compatible software profiles for my camera. I was going to upgrade my LR2 and PSE8, but now it appears unnecessary! (I think I kinda/maybe/might be right about this.)
