Thanks for your comment Mike. What amazed me the most was that suddenly it all went from almost dark to this bright reddish light, just as if someone had turned on a switch. Just the clouds reflecting light from a sun that had set a long while before.
Thank you Tommot1965, I'm glad you like it.
Thanks Aon!
And thank you Jer!

I like them all, but the first one is quite special. It seems taken out of a scary tale.

These are great! The one with the backlighting and the silouettes is stunning, but there are several outstanding images in this series. I find them very appealing both as a photographer and as a mountaineer. Regarding the climbers, those mixed conditions are quite tricky, and the photograph does a perfect job of describing the activity and the environment, another stunner!
Congratulations on making the top, the time I was there I couldn't tackle it because of the weather, I long to go back (not just to Ben Nevis but to Scotland in general).
All I can add is that I've enjoyed these photographs a lot, thank you for sharing them (also that lens of yours seems like a great performer ;) ).

I don't know if this is the right word, but I would say these images have a lot of character. They kind of force you to keep looking, I really like that. Thanks for posting these.

Hi Jer, I really like your first and fourth images. They tell a story, and the colors in the first one are surprising.

I find the first one very interesting Dave. I had to take a long look to make up my mind, and I really like it.

I like these images a lot. I find each of the three different to the others and each is very appealing for different reasons. Very well done!

Thank you Rense, it means a lot to me.
Thank you jamonation. It's not presumptuous at all as far as I'm concerned; I am no master and to be able to learn from others is one of my main reasons to be here. I wouldn't want to trouble you, but would be happy to see your point of view and how you would improve this photo. Anyway I am glad that you liked it and thought it was worth your time.
As for the snow, yes I really want to go back in the winter. I've been to Ordesa in every season, and it has never failed to amaze me. I don't know if I would make it to this particular spot, as it is a bit off of the more interesting mountaineering routes, but I will keep the place in mind in case I have the opportunity and feel like doing a lower level route again.

I'm not sure it's because of that. I think there's much more mass in the left side of the photograph, yet the chair on the right is strong enough to (barely) keep the balance.
I don't know if I make much sense, anyway you shouldn't pay too much attention to my opinions in this matter :)
BTW, I still like your photo ;)

Thank you Pablom, I'm glad you like it.
Thanks for your comment and advice Fries. Actually I tried a more saturated version and, to me, it didn't match the intended tone of the photograph. As a matter of fact, this version is desaturated from the RAW. The b&w conversion is in my to-do list, I tried and wasn't convinced but I think the potential is there, so I want to give it another try when I can.
All in all, this is a version that I am quite happy with, as it matches the mood that I thought was there when I took the photograph, or at least it approaches it. However, this kind of constructive criticism and advice is very valued, and I appreciate the fact that you took the time to look and think about it.
I see what you mean, and I hadn't thought of it that way before, since that wasn't the feeling I had when I was there. But now that you mention it, this could have also been entitled The Witch's Haunt :D
Thanks for your comment NbyNW!

Thanks, and I'm not surprised the DA35 is your favourite lens, it is a great performer! Me, I'm torn between that and the DA15 ;)

I would go for the blue one :D
Seriously though, I really like this photograph. There's something in the composition which (to me) makes it feel somewhat unbalanced, and I think that makes me keep looking at it.

The shepherds of the nearby valleys used to take shelter in this hut when a storm caught them high up in the mountains while they were looking to gather their sheep. It was a hard job, yes it was. Nowadays their 4WD vehicles are never too far away and the hut is closed and mostly unused.
This and other similar huts scattered on these mountains have now an air of melancholy which the weather seemed to match perfectly. I hope you can feel some of it.
Thanks for looking.

I agree MikeS, it makes one feel small. However I really feel at home in these mountains, to me they're both imposing and welcoming at the same time...
Thanks for the compliment, Pauld, I'm glad you like it.
Tamia, thank you once more :) I am very happy that you have noticed the beauty of these mountains through my photographs. I've been sharing a few series of this particular trip and I think you have commented on most of them, it is really appreciated.
Thanks to you too Dave, you're very kind :)
